Sancho won’t return to Man Utd until he's ready - Way too much inappropriate speculation.

I wouldn't think he has weak mentality.
But maybe, just maybe he talked to ETH, found the root of the problem and vowed to be better physically. So the individual programme.
If not getting into the world cup squad was what did it then I'd think that's mentally weak

No it wasnt. Saka grealish play in Sancho position. Mount, Maddison were alternatives to Bellingham.

Sancho doesn't come into consideration ahead of Grealish Saka Foden Rashford or Sterling.
Sancho was in the team for the euros so who replaced him?

And most don't need to be taken away for specialist training
I doubt it was just that. He wasn't part of the squad due to an illness for a couple of weeks before the World Cup break. Assume this "illness" may be linked in some way to what's going on now.

That's the whole problem he should be challenging those players. He cost us nearly 80m and was one of the top rated young wingers in Europe and has been a complete flop.

To be honest, I don’t think any of us, even before we signed him have ever seen him come close to challenging those names for consistency and output.

He was a regular for England. Since he joined us he was in steady decline or failed to live up to the hype. That can surely affect anyone.

So he was put in individual programme instead of chilling at home or training with everyone. We don't know what is it and why. But he is out there improving himself.

At Dortmund he was 100% putting out better numbers than nearly all those players whilst being younger than most as well

This should have been a nailed on transfer but for whatever reason it just hasn't worked. The worrying thing is he looks so slow, even if he comes back and gets into form I just can't see a wide player like him doing well in the PL without pace.

Grealish is getting a free pass because City barely even need him. If he moved to a United or Liverpool etc for the money he cost and put out the same performances as City then he'd be another getting absolutely blasted.

What are you on about? He wasn't a regular for England.

So strange though isn't it? The PL league is ongoing and he hasn't played a game in months whilst training alone in another country? I'm struggling to think of a similar situation

Madness.

What are you on about? He wasn't a regular for England.

23 caps at the age on 21 is almost unheard of in all honesty. He hadn't locked a regular starting place for sure but he was always part of the squad leading into last summers Euro's.

Saka is on 24 for the same age and he's just took part in 4-5 world cup games.

I get depression comes in all forms and can effect anyone but right now in UK we have people who are going without meals or the heating when it's cold. That's who my heart goes out to not millionaire footballers and actors feeling a bit down.
He might be feeling depressed but I think he needs to realise just how bleeding lucky he is to have what he has and snap himself out of it sharpish. 99% of the country would trade places in an instant.

I hope he gets right soon though.
This is a very baffling take on a really serious matter, young people especially young males are really struggling in this modern world, this has nothing to do with wealth at all. Enke threw himself in front of a train even though he had everything going for him on the pitch but money couldn't shake and fix the terrible trauma of his young child death. This is a absolutely socking take on this matter. For example where I live we have a very high suicidal rates for men it's 16x higher than with women, some of the wealthiest countries like the Nordic ones have some of the highest rates in the world even though they are extremely wealthy, socially equal and sensible. It's just a very strange take.

Not that any real harm comes from speculation here, but given how little we know about what’s happened with Sancho and why it might be best not to speculate as to his physical and/or mental state at the moment.

Right because Saka came on to the scene later. But he's more of a regular than Sancho ever was.

And this is a post that I hope more people read and take a bit of education from.

It's very easy from the outside looking in to make judgements about people purely based on wealth.

Away from anything around Jadon Sancho (I am not aware of what he is going through or not) sometimes there are things in life that money or comfort cannot change.

Everyone gets down mate I totally get that. He's got more reasons to be happy than most of us though. Money does make life much easier whether you like to admit it or not. Imagine never having to worry about bills or rent / mortgage ever again. It's something most of us will never know.

I think if he lived a day in the life of a family really struggling right now who can't afford the heating it would help him see some perspective. He will snap out of it soon enough.
Stop digging the hole. You already sound extremely ignorant on a sensitive topic.

I throw this about sometimes, but this truly is the worst thread in redcafe history.

The complete misunderstanding of depression. Telling him to snap out of it. The baseless even discussion of depression. The lack of empathy. The lack of any understanding whatsoever. It's a marvel.

All of this and the kid fecked his ear a month ago and there's nothing about it.

A player has been removed from the squad to be put on a special training programme because they're not fit and have been underperforming. The same thing happened to Wayne Rooney and recently Kalvin Phillips and no one had to tip toe around the fact the fact they were/are not performing.

There's a lot of merit to what the poster said, he's at one of the best clubs in the world, on over 350k per week, and doesn't seem to have the professionalism to be 100 percent fit to play for the club and we're meant to feel sorry for him

He wasn't even fit for last season's pre season. It's well documented he had attitude problems at dortmund to the point he was repeatedly fine for turning up late to training and being lazy but this time because he has been crap at our club we all need to pull out the mental health card. Maybe just maybe ETH is fed of his shit and laid down the law that he needs some time out to get his head straight before he completely considers getting rid of him out of the door.

I don't often call people out directly but this is a very stupid post and you clearly have never suffered from, nor know anyone who suffers from, depression. You display a clear and complete misunderstanding of what it is and what it entails.

"Just snap out of it" is, without mincing words, a really, really stupid thing to say.

All we know is that Sancho wasn't at the right fitness or mentality to be playing.

That could mean a plethora of things, not sure why the convo is going down so many rabbit holes.

That said, I have called out a trend I've noticed on here a number of times: the notion that "he's rich so he's undeserving of compassion".
It's the sort of lazy, deductive, reason that creates dangerous psychopaths.

It was the German league though, and I don’t think we can say that any player that’s left there in recent years, without the obvious exceptions, has gone on to do anything ground breaking. The league on the whole just doesn’t know how to defend.

Try again, but much less daytime TV debate next time. Just stick close to the facts.
