He's better.

No comparison.

You're not very creative are you? Whenever you've successfully proven to everyone what an idiot you are, you go on to call people gay. How does my sexuality even concern you?

You're a little wound up.

Tendulkar's also gay, like you.

Nah, don't you worry about me. I've enough on my mind at the present moment, to be bothered by an idiot who thinks Poland is one fishing village.

I have no idea what your on about.

But you're clearly gay.

notice how all these indian players like laxman, ganguly, dravid and so on all have a million centuries and averages above 50 but most of them aint shit outside home
Its amazing how clueless people are on this forum. Ganguly, fine, he had a fabulous start to his career but as time went on, his weaknesses against quality pace bowling was found out. Laxman has always been hot and cold.

But the fact that youv put Dravid in that equation shows how little you know. He has a better away record than both Sachin and Lara. India may have been awful away from home until recently, but Sachin and Dravid were always excellent. Sachins got runs everywhere, thats why the comparisons with Bradman(by the man himself as well). Someone who just scores at home, isnt held in such high regard. Hes got a magnificent hundred on the fastest pitch in the world(perth), hes got hundreds in England when it was swinging like mad, hes done it in South Africa on the first day of a test match. Its just an idiotic critisism.

Look at their records, Sachins average is much better than Laras in tests, hes in a different league when it comes to ODIs, hes done better on the biggest stage(WC), hes inspired his nation more, hes more consistant ... theres no comparsion really.. Sachin>Lara.

Sachins got 38 ODI hundreds i think.
Laras got something like 19. I pity him.
Sachin > Lara

I voted no. The vote is evenly poised. 1bn Indians are hard to outvote.

Would Tendulkar have done as well in the side Lara has had to bat in? Batting
in the Indian line-up means they aren`t over reliant on him alone.

We were a one man team till about 2001.
Only in past 5 years like of Sehwag, Ganguly and Dravid have come through.

Fun thread this..

Spoony, Slabber and that UNITEDOG fella..pathetic knowledge about cricket..

Spoony you dumbfeck...could you back that Vaughan claim up please..I'd like to see how ANY batsman in the past 4 years has been better than Dravid and a fit Tendulkar. That idiot of a captain of yours isn't even fit to lace Sehwag's shoes in Test Cricket.Stats if you please.(Dravid is a glorified Collingwood?!I actually thought that you knew something about cricket)

UNITEDOG..a complete idiot if I ever saw one..

Slabber..mate you have some some good points to share about cricket sometimes and I realise its all a wind-up but some of your posts are ridiculous.

That`s incorrect. On 26th May 1999 (best day of my life) before we lifted the European Cup, i won a grand backing India over Sril Lanka in a World Cup group match. Ganguly and Dravid tore the place up and Sachin was out for a duck.

Yes I remember that match too.
Ganguly and dravid were both very inconsistent before 2001/2. To be fair, ganguly was probably good in ODIs but Dravid took a long time to adapt.
Ganguly has always been shite at tests while Dravid although scoring shit loads didn't have the same impact he had in last 2 seasons.
India after WC 96 too couple of years before WC 2003, was far too much dependant on Sachin.

Anway your argument doesnt hold water, Viv richards played in the best team of all time, Warne has excellent bowlers to support him, it is much more applicable to them. Sachin has spent best part of career in a medicore team.

Fact is Sachin made something of being in a mediocre team, he did infact carry the Indian team for a decade on his shoulders, he inspired everyone around him.. He was for almost a decade easily the best batsman in the world. Lara was in a similar situation, he started very well, but fell away, and eventually it was mere glimses of his brilliance every now and then in unimportant situations.
Besides being the better player for most of their careers, Sachins got a better record no matter how you look at it, hes performed better on the biggest stage(World cups), and im guessing hes performed better against the best team of this generation(Aus).

dude your indian ofcourse your going to think tendulkar is better, and your completely wrong when u say i dont know shit about cricket, i love cricket, and i know a shitload about it.....

lara wasnt as hungry after he achieved so much so youn, the 375, the 500, he knew he was the best by far, he wasnt focused, he didnt really have any other records to play for........he isnt about averages, who gets their world records taken from them and then decides, okay im going to have that get that back.......only one person in the world can do that.........LARA.....

sachin in class,i aint denying that, but compared to lara he isnt on the same level........

oh and against the aussies, lara has easily been more dynamic against them, i dont know about averages, but his scored double hunderds against them, he won that test against them single basically by himself(153 not out).......only he could do that........lara is better, lol
