Ryder Cup 2014

So Sergio & McIlroy have pulled it back and are now 1up after 15, and Bjorn & Kaymer are dormie 1.

I'd be tempted not to play Poulter again until Sunday. He's been rotten all year.

Good golf so far in very tough conditions. Feel for Kaymer a little, his iron play has been brilliant.

And as I like a good moan I'm taking this opportunity to reaffirm just how much Fester Bradley gets on my tits. I've never come across a more irritating sportsman.

Poulter will rise to the occasion. I felt Gallacher was a little off to be honest

Out of the entire top 50 in the official world rankings only an injured Woods has picked up less ranking points than Poulter. There is rising to the occasion, and I don't completely rule it out to be fair, and there is eliminating weeks and weeks of bad golf in the space of 24 hours. It's a big ask. Gallacher wasn't very good but that's a little understandable. Dropped in it a bit I feel.

The Ryder cup doesn't know form mate!

Europe should coast to a win now.

I think for the next decade Europe will win most if not all of these and that will lead to my expected change in format to Europe v. Rest of the World.
Would love to see that happen.

Nobody watching yet this morning?

Poulter and Rory having a bit of a mare the moment on 5.

Its weird, I obv want europe to win but I'm finding myself cheering on the americans just because I want it too be close!

Rose having a good day, birdies with a putt from off the green on 10.

fecking Bubba manages to save the half, though.

You cnuts are missing some superb matchplay golf here. Rose and Stenson are 2 up through 14 and have shot 10 under!

Screaming "get in the hole" on a par 5 ffs. Really gets on my tits

G. Mcdowell vs. J. Spieth : Spieth and Reed have been the stars of a faltering America team, I expect him to give G Mac a hard time and see halves in this one.

H. Stenson vs. P. Reed : Stenson didn't play in the foursomes due to his back, even though he looked on fire in the fourball. I reckon this will be a close one if Stenson struggles with this supposed back problem, but can easily see it going the other way.

R. Mcilroy vs. R. Fowler : Both players are having a very good Ryder Cup, will equal each other out.

J. Rose vs. H. Mahan : Rose looked worn out after yesterday's foursomes, but coming off such fine form I see him finishing it off.

S. Gallacher vs. P. Mickelson : Neither player set the world alight on Friday, but I expect the experience of Mickelson to prevail.

M. Kaymer vs. B. Watson : Hard one to call, neither have shown anything to pick a clear winner.

T. Bjorn vs. M. Kuchar : Bjorn looked out of sorts with Kaymer against the debut pairing of Speith and Reed yesterday, Kuchar hasn't won a game so far but I reckon he will outmatch Bjorn.

S. Garcia vs. J. Furyk : Both playing good golf, both will cancel out.

I. Poulter vs. W. Simpson : Not up to Poulter's usual Ryder cup standard, but coming off those last 3 holes in the fourball and being dropped from the foursomes will fire him up.

J. Donaldson vs. K. Bradley : Donaldson was playing some fine golf in the foursomes session, but facing a fresh Keegan Bradley who has only played one game on friday morning so will be fresh.

L. Westwood vs. J. Walker: Westwood and Walker have been playing some cracking shots this Ryder cup, but I think Westwood has been slightly better.

V. Dubuisson vs. Z. Johnson Dubuisson has made an astonishing debut for Europe, and he has barely put a foot wrong. Firmly expect him to beat Johnson.

Bolded for who I think will win, halves are left unbolded.

Final score prediction: Europe - 16.5, USA - 11.5

They're 4 down on the last day of the Ryder Cup FFS. I can forgive him showing a bit of passion to try and get going...

Why is match play not more common in pro golf? The players clearly enjoy it and it is far more exciting to watch.
