Ruud Van Nistelrooy tra la la la.

2002/03 RVN won the EPL and was top scorer, the level of fans not knowing the club’s history is everything that’s currently wrong with our club and between Ancelotti getting Sacked and a coach that knows the club who is the obvious choice, he’s won at the club, won in his first season as a manager and you can see his ideas are complete opposite to ETH, that’s why they are constantly arguing.

I have a feeling that RVN would recall Hugill, work more with Wheatley, Biancheri and Chido and tell them there is at least two glaring holes in this squad right now if one of them is brave enough to take the opportunity.

He coached Jarod Branthwaite into being a top CB, most elite CF’s know what it takes to stop an elite CF.

He might not work but i genuinely think it can’t get any worse right now?
When did Jarod Branthwaite get close to being a top CB?

Watch Everton rise above us in the EPL and yes RVN did a lot of work to make him one of the best young CB’s in the EPL last year.

Question
Who would you prefer to play left CB at Man United for the next 6-7 years?

Lysander Martinez, Johnny Evan’s, Harry Maguire or Jared Branthwaite?

There’s a reason the club tried to buy him for £50m, there’s a reason Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested?

There's quite a lot more wrong with us than a lad not knowing we won the league in 2003.
You’re probably right, half the so called best in class new board probably don’t know that RVN won an EPL with the club!

Not Jared Branthwaite. Sorry where are we getting these "interested" from?

Third time lucky? Two Dutchies have failed but I feel based on the third time lucky law of the Universe...that Ruud will be a guaranteed success at United as a manager. Reckon we could do worse than starting him up front and all. Actually, there's no way our forwards are worse than the Dutchman. So yeah Ruud Van for player manager.

Ratcliffe...make it happen.

Incredible timing.

People keep saying stuff like "knowing us he'll win his first 10 games and we'll keep him and it'll all drop off a cliff" but honestly, it would be more us if he did do a good job as interim, we don't keep him (and we 100% shouldn't) and he then goes on to the best manager to ever exist somewhere else.

If he does a good job, I see no reason why we wouldn't want him to stay on.

This is a great idea. We've literally never tried giving a fan favorite former striker the manager job before. I can't think of a single thing that could possibly go wrong in this scenario.
It's also gone wrong at Leeds (lost count how often), Liverpool (more than once), Arsenal and Newcastle. It's really not a great idea as much as I love Ruud and would be over the moon to be proven wrong

at least he showed promise at PSG... was talking to an Arsenal fan at the gym (I washed in bleach after) who said they were really difficult to play against last season (was it last season?), which is a good start given how easy it has been for at least two years

I hope he tears into the referees. He's interim so he can cuss them out. I just want a manager/interim to have a bloody go at these shit decisions.
Otherwise I wish him luck until we get the new coach.
