Rugby World Cup 2015 - Group Draw

I love is big mouth, he always end up saying something stupid:lol:. But he is efficient and I like the way he sets up the attack in the last 40, there is a lot of movement, when his players understand the game plan, it looks like an organized chaos.

You are from South Africa?
It got more annoying when after he won the world cup, and it seems to happen with every world cup winning coach. But he is a good coach , but I wouldnt have him back.

Yes, I am.

And Jean de Villiers, fractured jaw out for 4-6 weeks..world cup starts in 5..He missed the 2003 world cup with injury, got injured during the 2007 world cup, think he missed much of the 2011 tournament..perhaps he should get the message..He comes across as great human being, but now isnt the time for that.

I agree, JP Pietersen-De Allende in the middle and Hendricks on the wing seems logical to me, but we will see.

When is this kicking off? and is there an article flying around somewhere with a quick summary on whose the best teams/players/likely lineups.. been out of sync with Rugby for a while..

In 40 days..this website can help : http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/

But generally, NZ are by far the best side in the world and have been for the last 30/40 years..more than 90 % win record over that time though..they dont do as well in world cups away from home, England have a good side, Ireland have are in form, Australia have good world cup pedigree and are in form...and France are unpredictable..SA have good pedigree but are struggling..

New Zealand destroy Australia a week later..my goodness, when they turn it on..they really turn it on..Wayne Barnes save us!
We have almost no chance at this world cup IMO. I just hope the French can knock out NZ again.

We were decent against both Australia and NZ though..but the wheels have truly come off..but its a world cup..Just drop the old agers and go for broke with the youngsters..JDV should be left at home too..or travel as a non-playing memeber of the team at least..But one win can change everything..Maybe failing to win our pool would be a good thing..possibly avoid NZ before the final I think

Few Irish names who might have thought they were safe did themselves no favours today. Established heads like Toner and Bowe were poor while Boss and D'Arcy surely played themselves out of the squad with terrible performances.

More encouragingly, Cronin, Henry, O'Brien, Madigan and Zebo were good. We still have Healy (if he makes it), Best, O'Connell, O'Mahony, Murray, Sexton, Henshaw and Kearney who are yet to start a warm up as well. Will be interesting to see if we pick a full strength team for either the match against England or against Wales.

Huge blow Webb and Halfpenny getting injured for Wales. With question marks over AWJ, Samson Lee, Liam Williams and North too. With Jonathan Davies out it's looking bad for Wales.

Yeah that's a huge blow for Wales. Works well in England's favour however.

Ireland weren't just bad against England, we were simply terrible. The set piece looked great though and I am not overly worried. The lack of intensity and so many missed tackles just won't happen in the World Cup and we are told the attacking plays are being kept under wraps until then. I do wonder if we have enough in attack to really cause a major threat though. If we are going to win big games I think we will be grinding them our rather than blitzing teams. Tommy Bowe was incredibly bad, got to hope this was just a bad day for him.

England were very good in the beginning but it can't be ignored just how bad Ireland played. The thing that would concern me if I was an England fan would be how Ireland were allowed back into a game where we really should have been defeated easily.

Yeesh, didn't even realise the injuries Wales suffered cos I went straight out to watch Dublin Mayo after. I can kind of forgive the Irish players for being so tepid against England so long as noone got injured, I was on edge the whole match waiting for an injury. Massive, massive blow for Wales.

wouldn't be surprised to see an ireland v sa final so long as ireland can keep sexton fit and firing.

Ireland are looking very one dimensional and seem incredibly reliant on Sexton and Murray kicking well. I hope Schmidt has a few things up his sleeve otherwise we won't be going too far. The issue is that Ireland's backs don't seem as physically gifted as other teams. There are no huge guys nor anyone incredibly quick.

Henshaw is pretty huge to be fair but in general I'd agree with you. If we are to be successful it's going to have to be through clever play a lot of the time because we are lacking strength and pace in particular.

Can I hold you to that :D

yep. if i was a betting man that would be where my money went. think england will go close now wales have crocked themselves. expect them to get to the semis now as they should get out of the group.

I think if South Africa get to the final, they'll win the whole thing. I'm just not convinced they're fit enough. Australia and New Zealand finished over the top of them in the Rugby Championship this year and looked fitter.

Ireland have never played SA at a RWC. Ireland have never been in a semi-final. Without being overly cynical, the odds are way more on Ireland going out at QF again...

Yeah, I was a bit unfair on Henshaw. Just need three others like him and we will be getting somewhere. I think McCloskey who plays for Ulster could be very good in the future.

i think they'll come good by this time next month.

records are there to be broken. your breakdown is so good and sexton's kicking game is simple enough to execute time and time again that i think you'll cause a lot of teams a lot of problems. the backs were pretty shocking against england which made it hard to play the way you've played for the last couple of years. there was no real chase and brown mopped up everything that left sexton's boot.

now's the time though, the team has been together for a fair while now and everyone knows their role, it's just about turning up and playing to their capabilities. it's now or maybe never!

I had a bet on S.A six weeks ago as an outside chance and wish I'd held off as their stock has fallen now. I think they will come strong at the World Cup however, wouldn't be surprised to see them win it at all.

This time last year, this time two years ago, I had them favourites. Now, I'm not convinced they'll beat New Zealand in a probable semi final meeting.

From an England POV that's great news but it's shit for him and the sport, he's world class.

Also, I just don't see Ireland getting to the final, no way José.

Crushing blow for Wales. There are a couple of players in every squad (bar maybe New Zealands) for whom injury is a deal breaker for that countries World Cup chances. Halfpenny along with probably Alun Wyn Jones and Dan Biggar is one of those for Wales.

As an Irish fan I can understand the pain, having lost one of our key men in David Wallace during the final warm up to the last world cup. It's a real shame for 1/2p, Wales and the tournament in general.

What odds can i get on the US to get through?

Whatever odds you like. It ain't happening!

They'll do very well not to finish on the bottom of their group. Japanese rugby is improving and this isn't as strong a US side as it has been in the past.

Geordan murphy 2003, i was happy to see us resting players against the english , these were only tune up games.

Who did we rest really? Kearney is the only one I can think of with Healy not quite back to full fitness yet.

I think Wales will lose to Fiji, or if not, come the closes of the trio in that group to do so - and mightily close as well
