Was there a rule change? I seem to remember that if your hand touched the ground with the ball in it it was a try.
Does the ball itself always have to come in contact with the ground?
That was my understanding of it all this time, but I'm far from knowledgeable when it comes to rugby rules.

Ok so it wasn't clear that the South African arm wasn't preventing the try and he'd already decided it was no try.
He has to coach in NZ for 2 years before he could become coach and there is probably a line of coaches down there who want to get the job.
Onfield was no try so TMO has to show him a 100% clear vid of ball grounded and in control.
Second part fine, ball rolled out a sec or so later but first bit, I don't think so

Yeah really worried about that. Our second half performances leaves a lot to be desired lately. I think it would be a bit different this time though, as they know they need to come out and play, not just sit back and defend or grind. First half has been very scrappy and its playing more into the Lions hands than ours, so for a change we need to try have a more fluid game in the 2nd half.
Lood de Jager should be coming on hopefully, which should help with that, to get our shape back with Steph out.
