Yeah the team just doesn't ever seem fully focussed and there's been a lot of sloppiness.

I know Farrell isn't as prescriptive and demanding as Schmidt but I thought the trade-off would be more creativity and off-loading but there's been feck all of that.

He's not crap but not International level. Also doesn't help he's been asked to play a type of game he's not comfortable with. If you want to box kick all the time then neither McGrath or Park are the players for it.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance our confidence will sap away here, we'll lose, and get hammered by England.

This is a fair comment. I was happy he was going to qualify for us and give us another option. But he's the wrong option right now.

Yeah it's impressive. It was an instant improvement. Our lineouts were poor even in the couple of games before Christmas.
 
Seems pretty clear at this stage that Farrell doesn't want Ireland playing any rugby in their own half. Players like Ringrose and even Lowe really lose out in teams that do that.

Farrell needs to go at the end of the 6 nations, time to be decisive and bite the bullet. Playing a brand of rugby that suits none of the players we have. When you make Lowe look so toothless in attack then you know its not working. Go find some random New Zealander who will teach the team to play modern rugby.

P.S I wish Johnny was still 25, going to be a horror to replace.
 
Keenan and Lowe being asked to chase box kicks and kick the ball themselves is an absolute joke and makes them look half the players they are.
