England are the only team left who are unbeaten. Put some respect on our name.

Another World Cup we get to get knocked out by South Africa in

So proud of the boys, what a performance. Kolbe, Kriel, Mostert, Du Toit, Mbonambi all immense.

PSTD MotM for me….how you can be that big, that quick, but still have all that engine. Unreal player. What Pierre Spies should have been

For whatever reason South Africa seem to consistently have these freaks of nature in their ranks. In the past decade or so alone we see the likes of Frans Steyn and Danie Rossouw exemplifying this.

The guy that looks like Steve Earle did a brilliant "french tackle" that I think proved to be vital.

England also won all their games in the toughest group. Group D has 2 of the semifinalists. Put some respect on our name.

Great quarters. most likely one-sided semis. Hopefully an epic final. Think we can definitely beat New Zealand in the final.

The Boks are such am incredible team. That moment when they called a scrum from a mark in their own 22 and won a penalty from the scrum was really important and showcased the frightening power and supreme confidence they have.

From then on, they got a mental edge in the scrum and it was those scrum penalties that turned to be crucial turning points in the match.

I think both semis will be close. But the path to retaining the trophy is definitely there.

Imagine watching those four games and still moaning about the draw. Does it really matter if you go out in the quarters or the semis?

I sometimes spend chunks of the game watching Du Toit. He just goes and goes and never stops. The ultimate back rower

What a first half, France vs SA. Some of the best rugby I've seen.
I thought France would edge it with home advantage. But that Boks team...what a performance.

Imagine watching those four games and not thinking it’s a farce that France don’t make the last four but England and Argentina do?

Let’s ignore Ireland for the sake of argument, as I know how triggering that is for many in this thread.

The WC has had two absolute classics in the QFs but there’s an extremely high chance the semifinals will be completely one sided, crap entertainment. Which is not how these competitions should be run. The quality of the games is supposed to get better with each round.

That first half was something special. Actually those first 20 mins won't be topped for a while probably.

The scenes when we beat South Africa

It’s going to earn at least 3 people new taglines

It's also supposed to be a test of endurance. If these two QF's were the semis, you would probably have some injured players, or players not at 100% for the final. It makes it more exciting and more difficult to call. I reckon we're going to see some 2nd stringers in the semis.

Give it a rest mate. The games have been fantastic and Ireland weren't good enough to win it anyway.

There would be much less moaning about the draw had Ireland won yesterday I imagine.

Nah, although it is what it is, from an objective POV the draw was crap and I personally feel Scotland were the real losers of it.

Having to beat Ireland and or South Africa to get out of a group is nuts.

It did hinder Ireland but so did our choice not to rotate.

Exactly! I've come to appreciate the upside of this draw. England lost the final in 2019 because they couldn't recover in time, this kind of draw would have allowed them to.

Still thinking about the Etzebeth knock back right at the start of the game when France started like a train.

The efficiency of New Zealand and South Africa in both quarter’s was remarkable.
