Rugby 2020 discussion

Some are labelling him the new Lomu which is unfair but he's certainly a handful alright.

One Lomu was enough, we don't need another! It is unfair to put that label on Caleb Clarke so early in his test career. I'd like to see how he goes in a match where the opposition doesn't miss 42 tackles.

Yeah good day if rugby with Exeter Wasps later as well. Really getting back into rugby, it’s just so much better viewing than football which is a bit lifeless in comparison

Is it always three in succession, or is that a Corona thing?

In a non World Cup year, there are two tests vs New Zealand at the start of the Rugby Championship and the third Bledisloe test is 2-3 weeks after the Rugby Championship ends. In a World Cup year, there are two Bledisloe Cup tests. The first one is on the last weekend of the RC and the 2nd one is a week later. Four consecutive tests against NZ is only going to happen this year.

If it wasn't for COVID, ANZ Stadium in Sydney was going to be demolished and turned into a proper rectangular stadium. NZ have won their last four games there scoring 177 points with 38 their fewest at the venue in that run.

I’d completely forgot about the Six Nations. Is it scheduled to go ahead as normal in the new year does anyone know? Will be interesting to watch rugby with no crowd noise more so than football IMO. You can hear some of the tackles with a full stadium so that will be eye opening I think.

I have a new appreciation for how much noise Bundee Aki makes for sure :D

Scotland grind out a win. Good game management for the last ten mins.
Missed the match as I was out training with my lad. Were Wales totally awful? I’ve a work colleague who’s a very passionate Welshman and I think commiserations might be in order :D

The match itself was a fairly rough one but Wales didn't really threaten Scotland all that much. They conceded a tonne of penalties too, Scotland poached so many over rucks.

100 caps is an amazing achievement. Surprised he's only the second English player to do so.

Really enjoying the ref not taking any crap :D Both teams penalised now for stupid pushing and shoving after the whistle.
Well I couldn’t remember watching a worse Australian performance earlier. England looking to eclipse that

A different England team need to come out for the second half. Bizarre tactics, slow-witted, and looking off the pace.
I can’t understand kicking all the ball away. Just play through the phases. We’re so much a better team, it’s like we’re trying to be too smart
