Three times, they played against each other for the Cup. ;)

He's really a very talented player, even if his season hasn't been great. He hasn't played all the games because he had problems with Fernandez. But yesterday, he was pure class.

If we want him, we can get him. Don't be so fatalist.

I still think Cisse would be a huge success in England.

Merci for the rectification. Wasn't Pauleta last year's top scorer? Why not get both? I mean £10M for Cissé and £15M for Ronnie?

We'll definitely become better than Real Madrid.

Pauleta is the current best scorer (with Nonda), but last year it was Cisse.

He's way overhyped IMO.

 You probably thought the same thing about Henry when he was in France... Let him go to Livepool and Arsenal then, and don't complain if he's a success there. Anelka was a flop in France, and even Henry scores more in England, were defences are more opened than in France. The PremierLeague would perfectly suit to Cisse.

Those who judge him on his current games are wrong, because himself knows he's not in his best form. But he's only 21 !

No Elfie, I've watched him play many a time, and I think that there are better young players with a lower price tag. I am not saying he will not be a class player, but thinking that he's the best of all of the young players is not correct IMO, it's hype!

Sorry Elfie, it is my opinion. Yours seems to be seriously clouded into making you defend anything French. I'm not attacking him FFS, just saying that he is overhyped.

You got a problem with that? :p

Stop saying I defend anything French. I'm not the only one to defend Cisse here, right ? I don't like Anelka for example. I don't see any young French striker better than Cisse, and it would be a crime to let him go to Liverpool or Arsenal. This year he is not at his best, but he has a huge potential and he is very physical.

Carew is very physical, so is Heskey!

Talent wise, someone like Torres is for me far more exciting.

But then you'll tell me I'm biased because I live in Spain. Not true, Ballack is the most outstanding midfield talent by far.

I remember being in the Mestalla in 2001 and watching Carew and Stam have a wrestling competition for almost the whole game.

Ronny would take around a season to settle in.. Cisse, will settle in much quicker and easier... just like all French players... their record here is very good... can't deny that Weastey.

I have seen Djibril play..and he's got immense talent.. and he's a better player at this age than Henry was... and look how well he's blossomed in the PL. The PL will suit Cisse... trust me, he's got pace, power and skill... he and United would be perfect!

Pace and power are great, but he reminds me more of Carew than Henry.

Here is a Video of the match from the official PSG website...

It's true and well known, and it's the cause of his problems with Luis Fernandez.

Fernandez : "if he had played like that every week Paris would be at the top of the league".

As far as I'm aware they're just rumours, I haven' seen any of this in the L'Equipe or France Football but then again I don't read them regularly.
Maybe you've seen something in the press Elfie?

Obviously I'm talking about his life style.

I have a subscription to l'Equipe and France Football (BTW there's a long interview of Peter Kenyon in today's France Football - with Thierry Henry on the cover) and it has been mentioned very often, although those papers don't speak much about players' private life. Generally it's when they mention "Fernandez reproach to Ronaldinho his lifestyle". He had also came back from Brazil four days late after the winter truce. Alledgedly he had had a dental problem.

Also, last year, during the World Cup, a mancunian kiss and tell girl had told the Sun about her "night of passion" with Ronaldinho, she had met him at Paris Stringfellow if I remember well...

Oh yeah? What about the interview on Cissé, with him telling that he always wanted to be someone of the opposite sex. Quite often I've seen him wearing bizarre things? Is it true or what?

The question was : who would you like to be for ONE DAY...And he answered "a woman". That's all.

As for his clothes, he just likes fashion .

do you think Real will let him go?

Merci. Btw, according to me, Cissé was shit against Angoulem (2nd division team) for the quarter final, which Auxerre won finally during penalty shoot out, he wasn't even in the chosen five. Bad season eh? Hope that he climbs up the hill and becomes the player he used to be. He'll definitely be a best buy, along with Ronaldinho.

I have one more question though, what are the true reasons why Fernandez is leaving PSG next season? I have the impression that the situation ressembles a bit the O'Leary case, with him being fired since he was against Rio's move, now it's Luis turn with Ronaldinho. Is there something going on? Please excuse but I find conspiracies glooming everywhere.

I saw the psg-marseille game, and Leroy (pronounced le Roi - I think) was the game's outstanding player. He showed potential a few yrs ago - he's 28 now, but he was amazing. Fantastic goal, just missed with his 2nd effort. He juggles the ball in CM like Viera, but turns and shoots like Solskjaer.

Fernandez leaves the league mainly because his results aren't good enough, Paris won't win the league. His problems with Ronaldinho haven't helped too.
