I'm sure Murtough would rather get his teeth pulled than negotiate with De Laurentiis.Osimhen would clearly be the best signing, IMO.

Felix Jao or Laturo Martinez I my preferred choices who are probably attainable too at this moment in time. They would fit into a system which has a fluid front 3.I've asked this a number of times in the other transfer thread for Ronaldo and no one seems to able to address it.
Who is a realistic replacement for him? He absolutely will have to be replaced, there's no way we can rely upon Rashford or Martial at CF as neither like playing there and both have struggled in the role.
Before folks answer with any old random name, lets try consider someone who would fit our style of play for ETH and within budget.
If the transfer rumors are true we haveFDJ signed for €65mMalacia signed for €15mMartinez & Antony are both being quoted at the 40-45m bracketThat means we'd of spent 170m on 4 players with basically no room at all for a CF - Again I'm saying IF here.Centre Forward Options:Nkunku has signed a new deal with a 70m release clause I believe (Stand to be corrected)?Schick has signed a new deal also.Neymar is not someone I'd want near the club for any number of reasons.Lewa seems off to sunny Spain (Barca).Dybala - No thanksOsimhen - Not sure not seen much of him myself, I imagine he's out of the price range after the other 4 signings (if they get done).Abraham - Likely out of the price range too.Personally I'm struggling here to think of suitable replacements that I could realistically see playing for us next season.
This is why I was gutted when City missed out on Kane last summer. Many fans were happy about it, but it really was bad news as it was inevitable City would go for Haaland the following year with the release clause. With the way our season transpired last season, I’m not sure Haaland would have come anyway after that shocking season. This problem was always coming either this year or next
It seems the clubs whole game plan was to get Haaland hence the short term fixes with the likes of Cavani and then Ronaldo. What the club didn't count on was a season like the one we've just had which has left the whole club in disarray and chances of luring a talent like Haaland non existent. Once Haaland was gone it seemed we'd have to hope for someone to emerge over the next year when Ronaldo leaves. Now we're facing that reality now
If Ronaldo goes we're in for another tough season as relying on players coming off the worst seasons in their careers in Rashford, Martial and Sancho to get us enough goals looks downright foolish right now
Feck knows what we're going to do, clubs in it's worst state in my lifetime
Any plan to get Haaland was obviously over as soon as we signed Ronaldo, I said it at the time. If we'd have let him go to City it could have been us signing Haaland this summer instead. This problem was always coming either this year or next

Lewandowski would be great but I guess we could just ignore the spot and look for replacing it in the next window.
There's been reports this week that Atletico are happy to let Felix leave if there is a suitable offer. Martinez, I dont know but I'd imagine he's more attainable now that lukaku is back at Inter. Why would you think Felix and Laturo are attainable? Atturo has repeatedly mentioned how much he loves life at Inter. And I don't see a reason why Felix would leave Atleti to join us either.
Years left on his contract, don’t think we’ve got the budget to afford what he’d cost (unless we don’t get de Jong AND dont go for another MFer)Felix Jao or Laturo Martinez I my preferred choices who are probably attainable too at this moment in time. If we get Martin Terrier i would cry for sure, theses are not united level . David would make sense but Terrier…It's a bit hard to win games if you don't score any goals.
We can't rely on Rashford and Martial looks to be finished. There's nobody else.
I expect Ten Hag would like someone who will be a bit less individualistic than Ronaldo - somebody who will lead the press and perhaps be comfortable in a few different positions in a fluid front three.
Jonathan David, perhaps. Or maybe someone like Martin Terrier, who can play on the left, as well as being a threat through the middle.
Good shoutIvan Toney
Hard to sayGood shout
But fee will be 50m plus if Utd are flirting
Cavani would have fit into ten hags system like a silk glove.
I'm guessing Rashford or Martial will take the number 9 spot and we might get another winger (possibly) . I know that's going to be depressing for a lot of people but i guess we might have to put up with it. Bruno as a false 9 might work as well.
It's a World Cup year and there are a shitload of Premier League games at the start this season. We need to sign 2 forwards. Antony and a number 9, no question about it.

at last people are thinking what I've been saying for months... I have feeling it might by Dybala although he wouldn't be my choice. I rate Sterling very highly and he scores more goals from out wide that our forwards right now. It won't happen though...Rashford 5 goals in 32 last year. No sign of recovery from surgeries so previous years irrelevant.
Martial 9 goals in 59 games over the last 2 years.
Bruno 10 in 46 last year. He is clearly capable of more, but can he really be an out and out striker and can we replace his creativity or if he maintains it who is making up all the difference in goals.
Honestly very worrying
Dybala won't be the out and out striker we need. More wide forwards won't help much.at last people are thinking what I've been saying for months... Part of me wants Neymar, part of me wants nothing to do with him. Therefore, I'd love us to put in a huge bid forHarry Kane and see if Levy wants to recoup some of the money he's spent. I know it's dream land but worth a try. Failing that, try for Lewandoski. In fact, I'd take Teemu Pukki over Rashford or Martial right now...
Liverpool have No.9 - he's called Salah. And chelsea must realise that one of the reason they were so far behind City and Liverpool was the lack of goals: in fact, they took steps to deal with this by buying Lukaku - it just went horrible wrong for them (and him)I don't think we necessarily need a conventional number 9. Chelsea and Liverpool have been fine without one. Players like Rafael Leão and Serge Gnabry offer goal threats from wide positions and would allow us to delay getting a striker until next summer.
