Ronaldo and Ramos hand in transfer requests! apparently

I don't particuarly want either, both on the post-peak portion of their career, both with huge ego's while they would cost us a lot... and I mean.. a lot of money.
Anyway this whole thing, if true, just sounds like the usual games they play. Real are welcome to them. Enjoy.

If Ronaldo is feeling forced to leave due to the question marks over his sexuality then that's ridiculous in this day and age.

He should be able to jet off to Morocco after training mid week if he wishes to do so and spend time with whoever he wants. I doubt it's in his contract who he's allowed to spend time with during his free time.

The issue isn't that he is gay.
The issue is that after a tough training session, rather than go home and rest/relax (to recover), he is getting on a plane the same day, then coming back late that day.
The accusation is that these plane trips are compromising his on pitch form.

I agree

The ronaldo ship never sailed to begin with, his rival with messi is no longer up for debate anymore, when messi seems happier making others play better while staying at the top than battling with a player messi keeps beating, Ronaldo's influence has a top player with Madrid really has stagnated. I do not think he would bring allot to the party, when we need to get the basics at united right to begin with.

You're right, whilst I don't care about his rivalry with Messi especially if it motivates him, I just think that the work we face to back to the top is so big that bringing in a couple of post-peak superstars won't really cut it. Rather than quick solutions/antidotes we need to build a team that will grow together.

Don't want Ronaldo. With the amount of money he would cost, we would be better of trying to sign Griezmann or Aubameyang imo. Ramos could be a good signing for a decent fee though.

I still think Ronaldo would score ridiculous numbers of goals vs the quality of sides he'd routinely face over here. That being said, there's no way this has happened. He'd be forgoing countless millions in loyalty bonuses etc. I guess he'll end up in Paris at some point this summer.

The Ronaldo ship has sailed IMO. He's declining and he'll want massive wages.

Definitely not gay.

I would bring home Ronaldo if we get the chance. I think its a good chance he will leave in the summer. Real Madrid will get some new shining toys and Ronaldo will be dropped.

Don't want Ronaldo. Long term he'll hamper a few of our current players' development.

Just wouldn't work.

That argument was used against RvP as well. It was just as ridiculous back then as it is now.

It's Cristiano Ronaldo ffs!

Granted, the fee must be reasonable, as it was for RvP. £45m.

Would have no problem with Ronaldo. We can say a lot of things about Ronny, but I don't think we would see the bad behaviors at United (neither from LVG/Giggs or Jose). We never encouraged that in his growth and I think the kids couldn't have a better role model. That's providing he leaves the drama behind in Madrid. Will we go for him though? Time will tell. I know people say psg..but give me a break.

This project bullshit is just that. An excuse for greed. People can say we're not top dogs anymore but we have been mismanaged for much of the season. We've had a crazy number of injuries BUT more importantly, our squad is young. We've a very young squad. This Squad + Ronaldo would probably win the league - and when you start winning then it either builds you up further or you think you've made it. I think it would be great. Ramos and Ronaldo? You never know. If we got Ronaldo, Mahrez and Ramos? It's certainly make for a stronger bench ;)

Such a none story. Like both would hand in transfer requests halfway through a season.

I'd all be for Ronaldo if he came back and won us the league, which he probably would do with his decline or not. He's a goal scorer and goals win you leagues, I'd imagine he could easily score 20-30 goals and as we saw with Suarez, a 30 goal striker puts you in a position to win the league.

Sell Rooney, buy Ronaldo, put him up front for a season or two then sell him to MSL or China. Speaking of China, if they're offering us £30m for Rooney we probably would make profit or break even on Ronaldo.

What could he's fee be at 31? taking his market ability into account, £40m?

Wouldn't take any of them especially for a combined £115m. That's madness.

People would be mad not to take Ronaldo back. His age would surely decrease his value? But I just don't believe these reports.

So Ramos, Ronaldo, Benzema ,Isco and James could leave.

That is one hell of a cleanout and I think Pogba will go there

So their midfield will be Kroos, Modric and Pogba, as star studded as that is, I'm not sure that would work in real life.

After Ramos played us to get a new contract last summer, he shouldn't be considered.

We need to learn lessons from the past and start focusing on feasible targets that want to play here and who would improve us in the positions we need.
We would be much better going after Laporte for the CB.

I hope we are considering players like Aubameyang and Griezmann as well.

I truly hope we don't buy Ronaldo back. It's such a short term solution and he would only come here to master the team. We already know him and Mourinho don't really have a perfect chemistry between them, so please don't do it. His wage would be ridiculous and we would only destroy the old memories.

Let him go to PSG or China. We need to move on and so does he. He would probably cost something absurd like 30m euro as well - so ... thanks for the memories but no thanks.

Rooney, Ronaldo and Ramos. That china league is going to be something else.

Despite what he's said on the issue it wouldn't shock me to see Ronaldo play big dick in MLS very soon. Maybe a season or two stretching his legs at PSG and then thoughts will turn to income after retirement and building his global brand and America will appeal.

That would really add fuel to the fire!

They won't sell Ronaldo. As poor as he's been lately he's still their best player and the most marketable player in the world.

They need to sign the next superstar before they sell him, but the problem is that Barca already signed him.

What's that like £22m? That's nothing in this day and age, especially to us. We have loads of money, paying him big wages for 2 or 3 years would be well worth it, he's still prob 4th or 5th best player in the World, you can't pass up those opportunities if he's willing to give us another shot.

Another year. Another report that Ronaldo could come back to us. I think this is another non-starter.

But if the opportunity arose, would I want him back?
Hell yes. He'll immediately be our best attacker and defences will fear him. Panic causes defensive errors. And errors mean goals. Other players in our team will also get a kick up the backside when they see what it takes to be the best.

In any case, I don't think we are currently good enough for a player of his level. I'm not sure any top player would willingly go to a 5th place team.
The only top level player we bought recently was Di Maria and he exited at the earliest opportunity. Our other top level player is DDG and he is desperately trying to force a move out.

For the time being at least, I think we need to focus on genuine targets and wake up for the fantasy where Neymar, Ronaldo, Messi, Muller, DDG, Guardiloa all want to work for MUFC.

He's not gay, he's had several girlfriends.

He probably got bored of them.
And now he has a found a special friend in Morocco. ;)
In any case, I couldn't care less. All I know is that he is a great player, the ultimate professional and a fantastic role model for youngsters and adults alike.

Prob bisexual, he always looked far too comfortable being friends with Paris Hilton while mincing around LA wearing denim hot pants:lol:.

Only messing, whatever he chooses to do I'd support him all the same when he had the red shirt on. He's top 5 footballer's in the World, earned more than he could ever spend and had more hot women than I've had hot dinners so respect to the lad.

This "friend" in Morocco is famous MMA fighter Badr Hari, it's pretty crazy to suggest he is gay just because he's had a few photos in compromising positions with somebody.

If you were photoed 24/7 in your life I am sure at some time things could look a bit dodgy. It just reminds me of the Pique/Ibrahimovic photo.

No MMA fighters are gay :smirk:

Tbf I dont think Ronaldo is gay, but who cares.

I agree I think this business in Morrocco is strange, why on earth would he fly to Morrocco after every match.

Maybe he is gay, I doubt he'd be flying there so frequently otherwise.

Did he look like a player who doesn't want to be there today?
