Romelu Lukaku | Chelsea

What kind of reception you think he is going to get at next Stamford Bridge match?

Several Chelsea regulars I know want him gone already - don’t think he can recover this……

The Lukaku PR machine going to need to work overtime this New Year to dig him out of this hole

I can't think of any more statements he could had said that would had made him look worse.

Really stupid interview, what the hell has he thinking? He had nothing to win and now he end up being in a bad place with Chelsea fans and Tuchel. Also it didn't help his case with Inter at all.

I remember asking why Lukaku hadn’t started a particular game a few weeks ago and was told it was due to recently coming back from injury. Noticed he hadn’t been playing much recently the times I’ve watched Chelsea and just assumed it was injury again. What the hell has happened?

That’s against us on Sunday. We’ll see what they think then. If he scores I doubt they’ll care about the interview.

This happens when players are getting to much power by getting to much money. Lets hope Abramovich puts him in reserves and show him that Lukaku is just a simple player. Nothing more.

He actually said he wanted to go to Real, Barca or Bayern, but once he knew Chelsea were involved he wanted to go to them, he also called Chelsea his favourite club, but that got glossed over,

He said he'd like to return to Inter one day, not a huge amount wrong with that, he said he loved Milan and Inter helped him rebuild after United, again that's got glossed over.

Says Tuchel is working on getting the best out of Lukaku and saying the change of tactics hasn't brought out the best on him yet, he also goes on to say they are working together to find a way forward, again, this is glossed over.

So yeah, other than people cherry picking what they want to hear from the interview, a totally normal interview with a player.

He told Lautaro not to leave Inter because he was coming back. You think He'd tell Lautaro to stay at Inter if he meant he was coming back in some indeterminable distant future? That'd be irrational. Come on now. Two and two.

To be fair, he said it himself before he joined Chelsea that he wanted to stay at Inter as long as possible. He also posted a tweet when someone asked him whether he will come back to england again and he replied unlikely to come back and enjoy in Italy. He was forced to leave Inter to join Chelsea and I thought everyone already knew this. Chelsea bought Di Maria pretty much.

Some times I don’t understand the logic of the management when making these signings.
When Lukaku played here we could see on the pitch that he is trying to take credit even if he made a minor contribution during the buildup of the goal. He always rated himself more than he actually is
Always felt that would be the attitude behind the doors as well where he thinks he is better than he actually is.

One of least professional footballers around nowadays, Tuchel has experience dealing with these ego driven characters he was PSG manager afterall.

He isn't even at myclub anymore but has such a slap-able type of IQ and method of talking.

Surprising to see from a guy who admitted he wanted out of United from day 1.

He is shooting himself at the foot with those comments. Could have said that he loves inter and everything is good. Doesnt he know Inter owners have debt problems? what did he expect out of those comments really? he is not coming back. Also makes him undesirable for other clubs by showing that type of character, its not like he is tearing up the PL with Chelsea anyway. Everyone can see that he is just looking for an escape from current situation. Overall just a dumb guy. Im also sure he talked about how he wanted to go back to PL and Chelsea but now apparently he was always going to stay if he could? oh feck off.

This guy displays on every level what’s wrong with the modern day footballer, he wanted a load of money, money that inter couldn’t afford to pay him so the only solution was for him to be sold to another club who can afford to pay his wages. He goes to Chelsea, let’s not forget a club he joined when he was very young and a club he says he loves and always wanted to do well for. 6 months in we are hearing this? It’s preposterous I get London is a busy place and Milan is different but we all have the places we love, doesn’t mean we work there. I’d love for abramovich to drop him to the reserves and let him rot, and refuse to sell him and watch his career dwindle, makes me so angry and I hate Chelsea but the lack of care for his employer the Chelsea fans I’ve never heard anything like it.

Don't think I have seen a player with such a fragile ego.
He has a huge chip on his shoulder.

Imagine some people thought Utd should have kept this clown.

His performances for Chelsea have been as expected, long periods of doing nothing punctuated by the odd goal, then he starts coming out with this nonsense.

Chelsea should just give him the boot.

Would love to see Abramovich tell Tuchel to forget about him, don’t even bench him. Don’t let him train with the senior squad (which would definitely end any WC hopes), wouldn’t want him as distraction to the other players.

Allow him to go if he gets back the £95m (any transfer shortfall made up by Lukaku himself)

There was a fecking load of them! Doubt they'll rear their heads as this is the exact sort of thing that flies in the face of their argument, that Lukaku is someone you actually want in your squad. Sorry to the blooz on here, but the schadenfreude on this one is mega.

Guys, he's another one from Riola's stable of bitches. This is all you need to know.

Not a massive Tuchel fan but those quotes about training, eating good, etc are brilliant.

Lukaku, grown ass tit.

im confused here, so he left himself due to not getting a better contract (at the club he loves and is in his heart) or was sold due to club finances? So he could have stayed in Italy if he wanted?

He could have stayed as things were. He asked for a new contract they couldn't afford, he priced himself out so they had to sell.

So let’s me get this right.

He acknowledges and thanks Inter for saving his career but demanded a new contract with years remaining on his current one knowing fully well inter are skint.

Leaves inter after not getting more money and moves to Chelsea, who pays £100m for him and gives him huge wages. It’s also the club he dreamt of as a boy after dreaming of a move to Real, Barca, Bayern post inter because he considers them 3 the really big clubs belittling inter and Chelsea in the process.

6 months after joining the boyhood club Chelsea he arranges an interview himself without the knowledge of the club and his own people and criticises his current manager’s tactics. He also shows a total disrespect to Chelsea, it’s fans , Roman who paid a fortune to sign him as he talks about going back to inter, how wonderful they are how beautiful milan is and how he misses Lautaro and how he will be back again in his pomp whilst calling inter fans the best fans in the world and indirectly shits on the chelsea fans who have sung his name from day 1.

Is there anyone more thick more thin skinned more precious more deluded and more entitled than this idiot ?

He has this weird delusion of his own self-importance.

Barely over 2 years at Inter and acting as if he's an established legend for them who left after a long, loyal spell. They've had far bigger players in their history leave the club, so I doubt they give even half a feck that you left.

his ego must have taken an absolute hammering from this, especially after the Inter fans shat on him

Nah, next interview he'll probably come out and say how ungrateful they are for not respecting how amazing a footballer he is and how his brilliant finger pointing skills took them to a league trophy
