I would laugh if it wouldnt be so sadAnd now Fletch needs to take over as we still haven't figured out a replacement for Ole. This board is comedy gold

Hes not gone yet?I'm too happy that he's gone to argue with Tom Cato.
Only downside is it wasn't earlier. Just make sure Carrick/McKenna also leave please
Does anyone else feel like they are mourning ? I was massively ‘Ole in’ up until the Liverpool game but fully understand the decision is the correct one.
No one to hide behind now for these overrated players. Time to show why we pay them so much. All players with a clean slate now. We might get a proper manager that knows how to get the best out of Maguire, Shaw, Sancho, Van de Beek, etc.
Ole is one of the most inept people in the whole league. Our team is not this bad.
In my mind what he was expected to do was to be a caretaker until the end of season and he has done that. I can appreciate it after the Jose shitshow.Did his job description include getting mauled 5-0 by Liverpool at home and not winning anything in 3 years? If so, I am not sure why is he even getting sacked.
Yep! I’ve felt this way since Liverpool, just really really sad. It’s hard to see someone you respect and admire fail. I can’t relate to the party atmosphere that some seem to have here (although I do understand it). Hope we have a good replacement we are negotiating with whilst Fletcher or whoever takes over the next couple games.Does anyone else feel like they are mourning ? Out of all of our post fergie managers, I feel as though Ole has got us closest to what we should be playing like. Even though he’s not won a trophy, the football at times has been so much more enjoyable & he’s left a very good side for the next manager to take over.
The bloke bleeds the club and it’s heartbreaking seeing him leave this way - he’ll always be a legend.
Fletch is 3 games max, they've said they're looking for an interim but Fletch will step in until thenPlease not Fletcher. McTominay would start every game for the rest of the season.
We had the international break vut only yesterday they took a decision. Bunch of idiots really
If you truly ever felt what mourning does to you, you would never have said that. Although Man Utd is important to us, it is necessary for us to keep a certain distance with things and not get too emotionally affected by this.Does anyone else feel like they are mourning ? Absolutely - some of the apparent glee is shameful. There's literally nothing to be gleeful about. The way some of you have conducted yourselves over the last 4 months is a fecking embarrassment.
Reports are that United were sounding out mangers over the international break for interim roles. Reckon Solskjaer was told over the break that he's gone after Watford depending on results, his body language suggested he knew it was only a matter of time. Hopefully the new structure we have in place means we're not stupid? Hopefully anyway. Fletch for the rest of the season would be a disaster. They must have at least used the last two weeks to sound a few people out and make some sort of call on it in the event of the Watford game going wrong, we all know they are useless, but surely they can't be at the start of the process.
Totally agree. The noise about Phelan leaving but Carrick staying sounds strange. Not that I think Phelan should stay, I think the whole coaching setup needs a hard reset, but Phelan's accomplishments in a coaching capacity at this club far outweigh Carrick's. They're all part of the current problem.
This board are fecking idiots and will be the death of this club. This is why he should have gone in summer. They could have got someone in with a lot less fuss.
Not really no, there are more important things in life..Does anyone else feel like they are mourning ? I was massively ‘Ole in’ up until the Liverpool game but fully understand the decision is the correct one.

Agree that Carrick should leave before Phelan from an experience point of view but I suppose the issue is that Phelan is the most senior and has been a big part of this shocking form this season, so he has to go.The noise about Phelan leaving but Carrick staying sounds strange. I agree on paper, but the thing is as fans we don’t know who brings what to the table, and annoyingly we just have to trust what they’re doing, however the decision makers at united have earnt 0 trust.Agree that Carrick should leave before Phelan from an experience point of view but I suppose the issue is that Phelan is the most senior and has been a big part of this shocking form this season, so he has to go.
He was good for Spain, which got him the Madrid job, which in turn got him sacked from the Spain job before Spain kicked a ball in the World Cup. Then he was a disaster at Madrid and was out of work in about 3 months when they realised he was out of his depth.Wasn't Lopetegui proper shit at Real and Spain?

Hmm maybe because some of us wanted the manager who is a united legend to do well? Simple as that. It’s okay to be sad for someone on a human level, but also acknowledge it is the correct decision. Why should anyone be in mourning if they are United fans? We have removed an incompetent manager and they should have done it ages ago when top class managers were still available. Now only Zidane is unemployed and for me personally I do not think he is the right choice to be the manager at United. Yes he won a lot at Real but the current United is a lot different.
