I'd be keen if we could get this show on the road asap. Getting the keys to my first house on the 26th though so doubt ill find the time if its not done before then. £1 buy in would be good crack maybe not so much the prize being a copy of rocket league for the winner though seeing as some of us dont have pcs.

If you don't have the keys, then your crates are useless. Also, there's no other way to get the items that come from the crates unless you want to trade for them.

If you're not planning to spend on the keys, then you can trade them to any other PS4 player on the Caf or outside. Heck, I'd be happy to take those crates away from you! :D

Back on topic. I agree with you regarding the prize in that there are several of us who don't have PC's to game in. I'd also like to add on that I don't really feel comfortable with a prize pool. This is just for fun, and I don't want this to extend to something uber-competitive that can result in some bad blood between some of us. Not only that, but some of us are far away as well, so the logistics of this competitive tournament will have to be really spot on, and as seen from past tournaments, this hasn't always gone down that well.

Yeah good shout I just thought a pound would have added to the fun factor without the stakes being too high but when you put it like that it's probably for the best that there is no prize pot.

By the way, are you confirmed for the upcoming tourney, or are you tentative?
 
I forgot to mention this, but this tournament will be held in one day. Yes, it will start and finish on the same day, so if that works out for all of you guys, then let me know.

Needs to be an evening UK time for me. Might be better i sit out as its always hard to 100% confirm a time/day in advance. But 9-11pm any evening is as much as i can 100% commit to. You guys should arrange a time/day and ill see it i can do it.

Also, I will start the tournament thread when I get home today. I have now finalised the format and number of players. However, if there are more players interested, I can change the format if needed.
 
I'd love to play, but working weird hours these days, so don't want to sign up right now.

But please keep me up to date on what day and time it is, and i'll join if i have a day off, or it miracolously fits with my work schedule :)

Like iammemphis, needs to be evening UK time for me to make it but will play any time after 6pm BST :)
 
That would depend on the day then, for me. I work 3 to 11 pm CET in the evenings, the days vary.

Well, playing during the evening won't be the hard part. The hard part will be playing the matches late into the night.

By the time I get home, it'll be 11 p.m. in the U.K. I can try to get home earlier so that we can start the tournament sooner, but more often than not, I get home by 11 p.m. BST. If that's too late for you guys, then I will do what I can to start the tournament earlier in the evening.

On another topic, what's all this trading about? I see it on chat all the time where people keep saying "invite for trade". What's being traded?

I think it's people trying to make money from trading rocket league skins. After all, all you need is an internet connection and a PS4.

Obviously normal people do trade too.... but god some are annoying
 
And the worst thing is when you start the next game, you get the invite message on the screen!
Why can't they just go on some forum and find people to trade with there, and focus on the game?
The ones most eager to trade, are usually rubbish at the game, and can barely hit the ball, practice will do them more good than a pimped car!

Rocket League items of all kind, including accessories, cars, paint jobs, crates, and keys. Most people come to unranked games to find people to trade with, but yeah, it can become annoying if all you want to do is play.
 
What rank are most of you guys at? I don't play ranked anymore because it's full of poisonous cnuts who'd rather stop their car for 20 seconds after going 1-0 down to type out a rage filled rant instead of actually playing and trying to equalise. But I did give it a go for a few hours the other day and was hovering around Gold 1/2 rank.
 
I'm deffo up for it but might struggle with scheduling. I get don't get home from work until at least 8pm BST most nights of the week.

I'm in Platinum I for both Doubles and Solo Standard. The tiers where you are at are normally filled with vile, angry players who give up at the first sight of any adversity. I feel for you, really. I had to deal with that pile of crap for a bit and play a more counter-attacking style in order to capitalise on the opponents' naive approaches.

By the way, are you interested in the upcoming tourney?
