Dunno, just seems a decidedly odd transfer. Good player obviously, but not what we needed and question marks on fitness. He will expect to play every game, as will rooney, meaning Welbeck and Hernandez feeding off scraps, not to mention Kagawa.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. Great signing for everyone's inner transfer muppet, but not convinced of it's value. £24m for a 29 year old who's had just one great season that has not been ruined by injury...
 
Not happy that we've signed him to be honest, its going to have a negative effect on welbeck and most of all the guys a cnut as we've all said on here many the time. He also has no love for the club.

I'll support him all the same though

Whenever I hear fans whether they be United fans or fans of another club complaining when a player leaves their team for another club, calling them mercenaries or stuff like that, I always wonder how they feel about players that their club signs from other clubs.

But hey being a supporter means being allowed to turn a blind eye once in a while.

Great news, just hope he stays fit enough to justify his price tag, his quality is not in question just his fitness. I don't have much faith in a United Medical....

Do Arsenal fans not realise that without RVP's goals they wouldn't have been in the CL or possible even the Europa League. This puts massive pressure on Podolski and Giroud.

Buzzing really.

Those complaining that this will mean less game time need to bear in mind SAF has always stated how important he feels it is to have 4 top strikers at the club. Now we certainly have that.

Bit steep a fee I think, but shows we're not afraid to spend money of SAF feels the right player is available.
