Rico Lewis

Never really paid much attention to him, but tonight he was dreadful. Vinicius had him on skates and then he gave away the final goal.

Probably the last player in the Premier League you’d want defending a loose ball like that in the last minute. Guy has zero defensive instincts.

Does he have photos of Pep in a BDSM orgy that he's threatening to release to the tabloids?
If he does, thats no excuse, Pep already divorced, he should take the photos on the chin and keep Lewis outta the team.

Watched it back a few times, it was so obvious the way the ball fell and the way he was going for it that he was going to lose the ball to Vinicius, there was no way for that not to happen the way he went for it. Amateur stuff.

Every time I watch him he gets bullied. Lightweight, no defensive instincts or tenacity at all. A big weak link defensively.

That looked like a Malacia performance tonight, dreadful showing from a supposedly promising talent.

Awful player. If he left City now - he would go to a decent club because he’s been coached by Pep, but he would be poor and quickly out of favour. Championship would come quite quickly.

I don’t think he would get in any other side in the PL - weak, and strangely arrogant considering he contributes so little.

Its amazing how these social media contributors are always hyping him up. One of the most overrated players in recent memory.

A video I watched recently had him as the 4th best U21 in Europe and in another where they were predicting the squad for the next World Cup they barely even discussed him because they considered him to be such an obvious lock like a Rice/Bellingham/Kane etc. Feels like a coordinated troll at this point because the player on the pitch has zero resemblance to the one they're gushing over. He's just a tidy, somewhat technical footballer but one with no real standout attribute and very little physical quality, plus he's been primed for a niche position that probably won't even be in use once it goes out of fashion.

I always thought he's very good (for his age) and useful in the City midfield but without Rodri and Diaz not fully back in form kinda lost. I'd rather look at the established players like Kovacic (and KdB) being all over the place to begin with. Constantly having a different (bad) goalie behind you isn't helping either.

I only noticed yesterday how often he hides from the ball. He's not the type of player Pep would usually like so I have no idea why he keeps playing him.
