So who do you want us to sign?
We need players, we have struggled through the last few months, players shattered.
The off-season passess v v quickly and we don't benefit from drawn out transfer sagas. I would take these three.. ship a fair few out and balance the wage bill.
And we need more than three.. need a right back and another top, top wide/attacking player.
Caicedo - Younger then
Rice and probably 30m euros cheaper. Also more fitted for the style we want to play, ETH is showing clearly with these players we are chasing this summer that we will be playing more of an 4-1-2-2-1 (on paper 4-3-3) with Casemiro more of an deep playing CDM with abilitets to both carry the ball and make great passes going forward to Bruno and in this case Caisedo who will be the one joining Bruno in the midfield, 10 meters higher up the pitch then Casemiro. Of course Casemiro won´t be able to cover all the space between Bruno/Caisedo and the back 4 so we need to play our defense line higher up the pitch to make the area smaller for him to cover, and that is why we are after a new CB in
Kim Man-Jae who will be rotating with Varane/Martinez and have both the speed, passing, comfortable with the ball and pressing that is need to move up our back 4 another 10m up the pitch next season. Problem will be
De Gea, who is this scenario would have to leave the goal line and also move up when we have the ball to be able to help the defenders if needed, BUT since we know he is nowhere good enough be play the libero GK we should be going all in for
D. Costa as a new GK who is more of an Ederson/Alison type and is very good with both his foots. We still have both
Eriksen,
Fred and
Kobbie Mainoo (who should be next on the youth list to be given minutes and some games next season).
Osimhen (If the Kane transfer will drag out until last week i August, cost us over 120m euros. And many Spanish newspapers started yesterday reporting that Real Madrid are ready to make a bid around 100m euro for him if
Benzema decides to not sign a new deal and move to Saudi. Surely Levy would love not selling to another PL team and would be easier for
Kane to take a fare good buy to the Tottenham fans and be welcomed back to work for the club after he retires or maybe even play 1-2 last seasons there when his contract (4+1 year is said what RM is offering) expires. He will be 35 then and will still be decent PL striker since his style of playing and scoring is not depended on his pace. I would also keep
Sabitzer if he can keep him for 20m euros, that is a low number but also what the Munich news are reporting last weeks. That is if sell
McTominey.
And since
AWB has made the RB his the last 4 months and
Dalot signing a new 5 years deal, it doesn't seem to look like ETH feel that we need a new LB right now. On the left side we have Shaw/Malacia and if need keep A. Fernandez in the club as the third option on the left side.
Same goes with the wide attacking player you are talking about, we bought Antony for 100m last summer for the RW position and Sancho the year earlier for 85m euros for the LW - not sure we will be investing more there this year since we have great talents in Garnacho, Pellistri and Amad as back up and if we buy Osimhen, Rashford will be the first choice for LW position clearly while Sancho and Garnacho will rotate with him and Antony and then having Amad and Pellistri as back ups.
