Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Warren Joyce can again call upon a strong squad when Hull City visit Moss Lane on Thursday evening.

The Reds go into the game fresh from Monday's Lancashire Senior Cup win, in which full-back Fabio scored a hat-trick, and the Brazilian is among a cluster of selected players with first-team experience.

Tomasz Kuszczak starts in goal, while Richard Eckersley, Rodrigo Possebon, Danny Welbeck and Lee Martin are all set to start against the Tigers.

The Reds have suffered two defeats in nine league matches since slipping up against Hull in November, a run of form which has carried them to within two points of second spot.

Thursday's match, which kicks off at 19:00 GMT, will be shown live on MUTV.

United: Kuszczak; Eckersley, De Laet, C Evans, Fabio; Drinkwater, James, Possebon, Martin; Welbeck, Macheda.
Substitutes: Zieler, Gill, Eikrem, Brady, Bryan.

Looking forward to the match, always good to see Welbeck and Macheda up front and they should hopefully be given plenty of support with an attack minded midfield. Let's see how Fabio does too.

On a seperate note, if Petrucci is injured then it must have been a bad one eh.

Oh no not PIG in goal.

Be interesting to see us with two up top, Welbeck looked very isolated in the match against Liverpool especially in the second half.

Indeed. It's fecking ages since he last got a game, for our Academy or our reserves.

Kinda surprised to see that Tosic is not involved at all.

Will def be interesting to see how Kiko and Welbeck do up front together, and with Martin likely to be feeding/supporting them. Good strong midfield with James and Possebon in there too.

Another hattrick for Fabio?

How is Corry Evans doing this year? Any chance he could follow in his brother's footsteps etc.

Last we saw of him was in the academy game v City 4 and a half weeks ago. Seems even longer cause of all the games played at sub first team level since then.

yes. I think he's a good player. Never seems to make a mistake but he's still only 18 so abit to go yet

Fortunately mine is not that bad, it just stops completely for a couple of seconds at a time, and then it continues from where it stopped.

try a different browser. Might help

Well taken goal by Welbeck, class move by Rodrigo to set him up. Otherwise it was an even half, Hull should have definitely scored at least once. Fabio pretty much invisible so far.

Welbeck has been sloppy today; trying the fanzy trick way too often.

I take it someone's finally realised that Tosic needs to muscle up.

Welbeck's already too good for this level, and he knows it. That's the problem. Feel kind of sorry for Lee Martin. We should have found him another club before the window closed

yeah, seemed a bit arrogant with the ball. trying too many tricks, brilliant finish though.
am i the only one who thinks Macheda has a very bright future?? brilliant player.

How did Fabio get on? After reading Fergie's comments on the Da Silvas today today he might get a first team outing soon as he must have built up some match fitness with these reserve outings, especially as United only have four first team defenders available against Fulham.

I didn't see all of tonight's game, but what problem? He was great against Wigan, very good against Liverpool and from MUTV's highlights he was lively in the Rochdale game.

The problem being he's too good for this league. Akin to letting Ronaldo run rampant in the Blue Square Premier.

I think Welbeck will probably go out on loan next season if he's physically ready - hopefully to a Championship side, not lower.

Can't see what good loaning him out to a championship side does when he has already had first team experience at aged 18 with United and started a domestic cup final and scored goals for the first team. He needs more first team experience next season with United.

No I don't see Welbeck going out on loan either. Fergie genuinely sees him as a future prospect at United and it would probably not benefit him going on loan if he's seen as a fourth choice striker and getting chances at United.

Fair enough. I thought it was being insinuated that he was somehow getting too big for his boots.

No your not. Although he is a class player he needs to keep a check on his temperament, it's arguably worse than Rooneys!

I cant see him being loaned out either, especially with Tevez seemingly looking to be on his way this summer too.

We were coasting in the match as well, if your going to trying fancy flicks this would have been the match to do so, not in the first half of the 2nd round of the champions league.

Welbeck being too good for this league is no real problem at this stage. I'd be amazed if he went on loan to the Championship next season - him staying with us has to be the big favourite (if we sign Tevez we won't buy another forward, and if we don't we'll surely only buy a replacement so he'll be needed and will get plenty of opportunities), and if he does go out on loan it will surely be within the Premier League.

If Tevez goes I see him getting more games and moving up the pecking order in terms of appearances. He would still be 4th choice as I guess SAF would be using Giggs and Ronaldo centrally more to cover the loss when Rooney and Berbatov are not chosen but I'd still expect a gradual increase on the ten appearances he has had this season to around a possible 20 including sub appearances. At his age that is better going than Rossi or Campbell managed which would be good going considering how young he actually is.
