Should be interesting to see the team news, nothing on the official site just yet. Will be good to see the Reserves after a couple of weeks off too.

James Vaughan will attempt to stake his claim for Wembley action with a run-out for the reserves tonight.

Fittingly, the Toffees' second string will face Manchester United on Thursday evening.

Just three days before Wembley, it's not surprising to see the Blues name a young reserve side.

Vaughan is joined by reserve-team regulars Kieran Agard, John Paul Kissock, Jose Baxter and James Wallace.

But Academy prospects Aristote Nsiala and Jake Bidwell are handed starts.

Left-back Bidwell is still an Under-16 and was away with England last week.

Speaking about Vaughan earlier this week, manager David Moyes said: "James Vaughan is doing better.

"If I could get him through another reserve game, I can look at him for possibly being involved.

"The boy is keen and shows a great appetite to get back. He's not one who malingers around with injuries, he gets himself back really quickly. If he can get himself in the condition I want for next week, he could be back in contention."

Everton: Stubhaug, Barnett, Bidwell, Nsiala, Duffy, Wallace, Akpan, Baxter, Kissock, Vaughan, Agard, Jensen, Forshaw, Craig, Kinsella, Sheppard.

MUTV put the team up earlier, didn't get time to note down the subs.

Bit surprised Macheda isn't starting.

Despite his impact on the 1st team he hasn't really had a lot of playing time in the last couple of weeks. Thought he might have played at least an hour here to keep up match sharpness.

They were both away with the first team who I believe stayed overnight in Portugal (maybe even trained there this morning before flying back?) so it makes sense that they're not involved. In an ideal world Rafael would have got some minutes as well.

welbeck in the reserves , macheda first team ..
great to see competition at that level

petrucci still injured ?

true, but i think macheda will be run out in the first XI on sunday.

Stream?

There was some websites month ago, now I can't see even one!

United still with a chance of finishing second in Premier Reserve League North.

1-0 Drinkwater

Everton have not been out of their half yet.

de Laet nearly scores an own goal on Everton's first adventure into our half

2-0

Eikrem free kick cannons up off the wall and falls to de Laet inside the area who has an easy header

Tosic has just smashed one against the crossbar (to be fair, he should have scored), but he looks like a completely different player in this game — skillful and quick. It's not surprising that some players take a while to reveal their true ability.

United are playing very well. This team is of a similar quality to the one that I used to adore watching a few years ago.

Everton look like they have to sub their keeper off after he collided with Gill.

Everton hit post, chance came from a terrible pass by de Laet which went straight to Everton forwards.

Tosic hits the bar a second time, should have scored again.

Tosic hits the bar again, but maybe should have scored.

Tried to hit it into the top corner from inside the box, attempting to avoid hittng the keeper and two defenders on the line.

Tocis hits the bar, again! This time he was unlucky. A brilliant move down the right. The ball in from Eikrem was a beauty — low and just arching away from the keeper. It came to Tosic on the far post, and he cut inside past one defender and curled his shot, right-footed, towards the far post, hoping to beat at least one defender and the goalkeeper, and it smashed against the crossbar for the second time in the game.

2-0 at half time.

United totally dominant, Everton's only two chances were from mistakes by de Laet. United could have had 4 or 5 and are creating chances very easily.

Tosic playing his best for us so far and has looked very good but has missed two great chances.

Very good performance so far, really impressive stuff from Martin, Welbeck and Tosic. I thought Zoran Tosic was unfortunate with both efforts off the bar, especially the second where he dummied the defender and looked for the top corner. Drinkwater and even Gill have played well so far too, De Laet's made his customary mistakes too - both could have cost us but he did well to adjust for his header with the goal. Everton haven't offered much so far, hopefully more of the same from United.

And looking at the first again, the keeper actually got a hand to it, pushing it up on to bar.

welbeck did well

welbeck went inside .. hope not an injury .. didnt look like one
