Reserves friendly vs. Curzon Ashton

so is morrison going to step up and feature in the reserves more this season ..
hope he does , will get to watch a lot more of him
 
God I love our youth team. I know we want to win at United, and the pressure is huge, specially now with the financial situation.

But what I would give to put out a lineup that was all homegrown. Some of these kids are so talented, I would love for 3-4 of them to make it into the senior team in the next couple of seasons.

Same here, I would be more than happy if we didn't sign any new first team players and instead gave this lot their chance over the next few seasons.

if you look at 3 of the most talented, in Pogba, Morrison and Petrucci - they are all guys in positions we could do with having some new talent in.

That could work in the favour in terms of giving them a chance at making the breakthrough, or it could count against them in terms of a player being brough in to fill that gap now rather than United waiting the year or two for these guys to be ready to make the impact we hope they will.
 
^ I hope we don't. I don't mind us going through a couple of seasons of consolidation. We still challenge on all fronts, as we almost always do...but possibly come up a bit short, because of that missing X factor. But if that means these kids, are given a right go at earning a spot for United; I would not think twice.

I understand those who say, if they are good enough, they will make the team regardless, but sometimes, the next level of progress is to be challenged by playing against those better than you, and not simply your peers.

All the pics on that website, are awesome.

Looks like King has filled out more since I last see him, looks like becoming a big powerful striker. His frame on Welbeck would be frightning.

Be interesting to watch the reserves this coming season. In particular Morrison, Brady, Eikrem and King. Scrap that be interesting to see all the youngsters in action.
 
You may have to wait for the next mutv televised reserve game for any goal highlights from me. Not sure when that is, Saturdays game certainly isn't.
