Fab was under pressure in two areas :
- he looked the part for every one of the J-FH inswinging corners. Got plenty on the ball even with lots of bodies around him.
- saved twice from Lampard and both times smothered the ball so noone else got a sniff.
Blanc strolled around with his cigar out and J-FH in his back pocket.
Mickey was great.

This is the impression I got from the France-Russia game. Only one or two saves, but very solid and assured.
As for you praising him, I don't confuse you with Redpie. You're angry when he makes mistakes, but you never said he was totally crap and had no qualities at all.

It was a fantastic team performance. We attacked like a team and defend like a team.

United were different class today. Chelsea never really got started. With Pool winning today they go top and prob ARSEnal will take the points on sunday but all in all we are still in the title hunt when most thought this would be the end of it. Lets hope for a similiar result against the Germans who apparently were looking ahead as they lost today in the Bundesleague. I will take a 3-0 advantage back to Germany although i would like 5-0 much better <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
The dodgy start was a bit worrying - 18 per cent possession at one point - but as the game went on it was our fluency that impressed me.
Wherever the title ends up, I still reckon that most of the season, we have played the best, and most entertaining, football.
In some ways, despite winning the PL last year by a mile, and despite those dreadful mistakes earlier this year, our performances have generally been better this season than last.
