Here’s the problem: three of us could think record X is the 3rd best album of the decade, but one person could think album Y is the best album — and their album goes through while the more popular choice does not. It’s why ranked voting exists. It’s why the Academy Awards are horseshit. It’s why Britney shaved her head. It’s why we can’t have nice things.
