No that's fine. Its your bid in the final round of three hours that matters in the end. Obviously if you bid for a player in round 2 and get outbid in the subsequent rounds, you don't get him.
You can essentially
Bid 30mn in round 1.
No bid round 2
No bid round 3
No bid round 4
Bid 60mn round 5 and win the player.
Only exception to that rule would be if another participant bids 35 mn for the player in round 2 and then that player remains not bidded for in round 3 and 4. Any player which does not get bid for two consecutive rounds either gets withdrawn (unsold) or sold to the highest bidder.
