Okay, it's time for another experiment - even though the previous one isn't finished. This time I decided to go for something.. different. I'll create a new nation with the new funky Editor-feature, and I'll have ye lot create clubs (and a chairman).

Right now, it's looking like I might create two leagues, one higher and one lower. The top league with 9 clubs (7 of whom will reach Europe, 2 who will be relegated :devil:), and the lower league with 12 clubs. I can change that if we get more, though I'll set the limit at 25. The alternative is to just have one big league. We can play with relegation as well, though those who are relegated will find their way back up quite fast.

I haven't quite got the "template" right, but it'll come. Right now, you can sign up.

If we could get 40 people (stretch, I know) we'd be laughing... a Prem with 18 and a 2nd division with 22

We'll be managers and what's this about 'setting leagues up' etc

That's pretty much what the league table is gonna be year in year out. :p

No, we'll be owners of teams, I think.
 
Shouldn't we have a limit on the amount of people though? One of the reasons the 09 one moves so slow is cause we have so many people in it.
 
I have some ideas for the clubs we have. (Based on if there are 25)

Make 25 bits of paper with our names on, then:

Club stature: I'm not sure how it goes in the game but put an even amount of, High, Medium, and low statures into a hat, shoe or whatever and draw them out alongside our names. That will be how highly our club is regarded.

Finances: Same again but with Rich, Stable, Poor, and that will determine our clubs finances.

Repeat for other necessary things.

So we could have some clubs who are very rich but low in stature, and some who are quite well respected but have no money. The theres the lucky ones who are rich and powerful and the not so lucky who are low stature and poor (Probably me)

Just an idea.
 
Well, this is probably a hell of a lot of work for niMic, especially if there's a lot of us, but we could make our own players, say between 6 and 9, for the team, and have a limit to their CA/PA. So one of the players could have a PA of 185, 2 could have 170, 3 could have 160 etc. We'd pick the positions we want these players in and which players get which CA/PA.

Obviously though, that's a lot of db editing for niMic...
 
I think that's way too much work for niMic
 
It was mentioned in the main FM thread by niMic about maybe randomly drawing a few top players for each team, which I like the sound of.
 
Or just one player, to grow with the club, the only problem with that is that bigger clubs are guaranteed to come in and snatch them, there is no way to keep them at the club.

Yeah, it'll probably be something like this. Some will be luckier than others, but that's just the luck of the draw. To spice things up a bit.

I'll let you create a club and a chairman (the club part is by far the biggest). Then I'll randomly choose some players, and you'll either be in the top league or the lower league. Then, just like the other experiment, I'll go on holiday and tell you all that happens. Who you have signed, who your manager is, competitions, etc. That sort of thing.

my laptop is broken, i have to use my girlfriends and it is shockingly bad laptop with a ridiculously sensitive mouse. reading entire threads is hard :(

Okay, here's the list. A couple more than I intended, but no matter. Also, one newbie. He was part of the other one as well.

I'm thinking two leagues of 14. It will only be 26 matches, but I can throw in an extra cup or two. Either that or a top league with 10 (and 4 ties) and one with 18 (and 2 ties). I'll have the template ready soon-ish.

FlawlessThaw, it's pretty similar to the last one. Except for a player, you'll "be" a club. Just the same, I'll give updates on the progress, etc.

I need home and away. You can also make GK home and away if you want.

I won't make us super clubs, but I'll give them the chance to become so. Fairly big stadiums, with a slight capacity increase option. Quite a lot of money to start with, since we won't start out with full squads. Quite high reputation. The league reputation will be maxed, so the clubs should be able to rule the world if they want to. Well, some of them.

I don't think I've forgotten anything. There's a bit less customizing to do compared to the player one, but this should be fun none the less.

In the meantime, I'll be busy drawing who will be in which division, and the initial squads.
