Didn't respond to this at the time because I wanted to make sure it was you who I was thinking of but when you've got the ball you do a lot of turn and spins and other tricks which can be very tricky to play against. You did a lot less of that this game though. Don't know whether it's because I closed you down in this one or what.

:lol: It's possible that I could end up with the best attacking record in Group A and the worst defensive record.

French teams are faring me well at the moment, starting to hit a run of form (which isn't hard after the first 7 games :lol:)
 
He attacks really well, and doesn't miss many. I don't know why he's been losing, he's played well in both our matches now. That last one was ridiculous - every single time the ball was pumped forward,he scored. EVERY TIME.

I may be slightly mad.

I don't get how some teams just seem faster in general to use... they're not set out any more attacking than others but they just seem to have more speed about them, their overall tempo I guess is the word

And cheers, I forgot about that! Yeah, I've stopped doing them lately, don't know why...
 
Scored a couple of good goals in that last game - the looping header and the volley. Shame I didn't save them.

Yeah, it's strange. I found Lyon quite quick in the two H2H games I used them in before I played you, but when we did play each other they weren't really that fast (at least I didn't think so anyway)

Thanks. In the first few matches at least, I played pretty defensively and the problem with that at the time was that I couldn't defend. At all. Ask WR and Lynk if they remember, it was like a knife through butter.

Even though I still keep on conceding goals, now I'm starting to get the results due to a bit of improvement in both attack and defence.

You've definitely improved defending. If you'd have played like that from the start you'd have 10+ pts easy. Late surge for top 4? :D

One thing I would say is though, is that you're repetitive going forward. Everytime you just ran straight down the wing :lol:

:lol: Don't know about a late surge for top 4 but with a bit of luck I might have a shot of finishing around midtable.

:lol: And yeah, I know. That's another thing I need to work on. On clubs I'm good at picking out passes, especially in the middle of the park and balls over the other teams midfield/defence. Just need to try and apply that in H2H games and this tournament instead of running down the wings a lot. It was very effective against Urbanned though :p
 
Another hard fought win! Didn't help when my best player got sent off with 15 to go! Good game, Urban. Deserved a draw, had plenty of chances. You seem to just let rip from 20-25 yards when you're clean through even though you could probably run 10 yards further and pass it in. :lol:
 
It's ridiculous though, the amount of those shots that missed... and I had to shoot from there, each time you had a defender ready to steamroller me if I carried on running...

Well disappointed with today. I'm shit usually, but this is mega-poor from me :(
