Record breakers!

Reading those records being broken is a sad sight. Is the only positive record in the past 10 years the unbeaten away games consecutively that Ole set?

Maybe I'm the only person on here who is fed up with all the negativity on here

We've had another bad season
A new coach has been hired
A change of players is imminent
Management is being refreshed

If you want a magic show, I'm sure you can find one on the internet

For successful football, patience is required
I think you'll find part of the problem is we've heard much of that before... Ole's planning for the future etc springs to mind

Not sure if it's a record, but so far, only 5 teams have conceded more than us this season - three of which are about to get relegated.

Wow! that's awful. This isn't a blame thread but personally i refuse to put the blame entirely on the centre backs that get very little cover from the midfield and full backs that are either way too timid or just not good enough. Looking at the last five seasons we have conceded:

2017-2018: 28
2018-19: 54
2019-2020: 36 (pretty respectable I feel)
2020-2021: 44
2021-2022: 56 (and a game still to play)

Looking at ten Hag's Ajax stats there is hope he can fix this because, well, it really needs to be fixed.

Yup, just no coordination from front to back, the amount of times you see a single player, usually Fernandes run aimlessly at the opposition only for him to turn around and see no one backing him up - then Ronaldo recently pointing at where Rashford should have been is just ridiculous for a "top" team.

Even average players should be able to carry out simple instructions such as where to be, where and which direction to run in when the opposition has the ball, but the players we have amassed just have no desire to learn the basics, that's why we won't ever be better until we gut the rot, and the rot has unfortunately spread to most of this squad.

This season has been a disaster, but it has alarmed the American owners enough to begin a process of a complete rebuild. I hope it will have been worth the pain in two or three seasons.

Well that season was fecking dreadful.

0 goal difference
Record equaling defeats total
Lowest wins total
Lowest points total
Worst defensive record in the PL era

At least we clinched the Europa League by default. The only way is up from here, surely.

Finishing the season with 58 points and zero GD is truly remarkable achievement in how shit we can be when you think about it.
