Morning View was a signal to me that Incubus couldn't be arsed anymore.
Disturbed are great. Though I'm not sure that's what you're after. They aren't proper metal, but at the same time they're too melodical to be considered heavy rock. They're great anyway you put it 
Morning view was for me the signal of a welcomed change in direction for incubus from nu-metal wannabees to alternative rock great. They now produce more intelligent music whilst still catering to some of their older fans who fell inlove with them at the "Make Yourself" and "science" stage of their careers.
Anybody will tell you that Morning view is by far their most intelligent album so i'm not even sure how you reached that conclusion. But your welcome to your opinion even if the majority of people disagree with you.
