Recommend me a TV Series

There isn't really anything out there like that at the moment. Certainley not British anyway.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

"Garth is the most significant artist that I've ever worked with....and I've worked with Lulu."

The Wire, Breaking Bad, Dexter, OZ, 24, V, The Shield, State Of Play, Afro Samurai, Entourage, The Sopranoes, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly,

Comedy: Trailer Park Boys, It's Always Sunny In Philedelphia, Arrested Development, Peep Show, 30 Rock, The Boondocks, The Office (USA),

The Thick of It, is my favourite British comedy series right now, it is made in a similar vein to The Office (UK) but about politics.

I know you said British but The Office (USA) is bloody brilliant and should definitely be on your list, and it's from a British idea, so should quality anyway!

Dexter isn't really comedic and it certainly isn't bright! Great show though, no doubt.

Try Modern Family, it's just started to fill up the plot and it's horribly entertaining.

I recently started watching Outnumbered and that was hilarious.

Weeds might be exactly what you're looking for. Funny, far from boring and Mary-Louise Parker

Not British, but since Arrested Development hasn't been mentioned I'll throw it out there. Californication is another one I really like (more dramedy then anything else, but it's got everything - sex, booze, rock-n-roll and some sharp comedy).

Curb your Enthusiasm is pretty funny (although, you need to like Larry David to enjoy it, and I know some people find him a bit too much at times).

I'm looking for something comedic, bright, preferably British (but not necessarily). Not a sketch show like Catherine Tate or Little Britain. Something in the vain of an IT Crowd or Black Books. Before people say them, I've seen all of Blackadder and Red Dwarf.

I've not seen the IT Crowd but if you like Black Books you'll probably like Spaced and Green Wing as well.

The first season really is, the next two havent been up to that level but still thoroughly entertaining.

Father Ted has been mentioned earlier in this thread and if you haven't seen it already it's the only logical choice. It's what Linehan made before he made BB and ITC.

I am watching The Thick of It right now, and it seems highly recommendable.

You're all shit.

Alan Partridge, Season 1 & 2 are immense. Comedy history.

Sharky, go watch Spaced and Peep Show right away. I also reccommend Pushing Daisies, different type of show though.
