Realistic predictions for liverpool game?

I'll be unhappy with a draw but that's all we can expect realistically... :(

But we'll run riot at OT! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Be afraid, be very afraid <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

I think they will play again the defensive shit game against United like they did last year. I hope our will not play too hard to attack and balance the game for not conceding a single goal to them. The team that manage to score first will be likely to be the winner.

2-1 united
well we are back in form and with the 4-4-2 being used for small parts of the games goals can be seen coming. the young defensive line up has not done that bad the three goals conceded to newcastle can be summed up like this- a freak goal no one could do nething about it, a superb strike from a set piece conceded by a striker(ole)
and the third one a case of casual defending affordable when leading 5-2. The basel goal was the result of bad luck some good work by fortune proved no good. so we can hold Owen and heskey to one goal. but if diouf arrives he can cause problems with his dribbling, united have never played against him and he hasn't played much this season hence the defenders might lack the experience to cope with a completely new and tricky player.

I'm looking for nothing more then a win. We deserve to beat these shower of bastards and put them out to pasture and let them understand that Everton are our main threat this season.

I think the mancs may win this one, but a draw seems the favourite. After the last 5 games between the teams, I think it means a lot to the Manc team, whereas the we just look at it as 3 points now.

How the tables have turned... :p

Also, we have been in slumps before when we have beaten you so don't take that as a bonus...

I'm hoping for a draw because I can't see us winning they way things are atm, but if you were to ask me now in my most pessimistic mood, I'd say 1-0 to their lot.

Anyone here got a scouse other-half? <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

Bollocks

I think it'll be a very tight game. In recent games UTD have tried to overpower Liverpool by attacking with 5 or 6 players. Liverpool have played the with a solid defence and hitting them with the pace of Owen. In the last encounter at Anfield Liverpool out fought us - they were quicker, hungrier and more competitive.

In a strange way UTD's relative weakness at the moment could be an advantage. We're not realistically (outside this forum at least)expected to win. The team will be more cautious. Teams that have done well at Anfield have employed their own tactic against them. We will probably play 4-5-1 and make Liverpool do the running and attacking. They are less comfortbale with having to take the game to the opposition.

Personally, I think it will be a tight, hard fought game which will end in a low scoring draw (Owen for liverpool, Ruud for Utd).

Not exciting, I know, but it's realistic.

As I already said in another treat:
3:1 to United. Ruud, Scholes, Ole. -Phil OG

3-1 to United, all 3 scored by Diego and all of them overhead volleys from within the centre circle

C'mon United

Of course you do, the big time european team you are now...

it could be anything from 0-5 to 5-0 <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

Two weeks ago I'd have refused to even guess...

3-2 WIN Ruud(2), Forlan/Ole the other

:D

It's easier to predict the number of pints I'll consume down the local - a modest 2 before, 6 during and 0 - 5 afterwards depending on my mood <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />
