Real Madrid offer Manchester United Benzema and Higuain for Javier Hernandez

Is it at all possible that the journalists are basing this rumour entirely on the plot from the movie 'Goal'?

I couldn't rule it out.

Yeah, but Badunk, can you really see Chico going anywhere for a few seasons. His forst season at OT and he has a League medal and a CL runner up medal in his back pocket. I'm sure the club will offer him a new contract soon too to reward him for his goals. If not this summer then surely next!

Hernandez will spend his best years at United

We only sell Madrid viruses and Ronaldo

we cant sell... it would be bad for the club's brand equity. We sell out top stars to RM and get their rejects? Will be type-cast as a feeder club to RM.

Real Madrid's board is obsessed in Fergie's transfer tactic.

On the other side, this news is a funny joke.

All 3 were past their best.

Nah, we wouldn't be. No feeder club wins more than the club they're feeding. Madrid are an enigma, even the players they sell win more than them.

There's another aspect to it too - I was reading today how commercially important Javier's become to United (amongst other things, his shirt has outsold all others for the past nine months). Surely United's marketing department learned from Real effectively funding Ronaldo's signing via shirt sales alone? Added to this, Hernandez is massively popular in his home country (and, by extension, United are too); this, and the American market, would give the club's commercial people pause for thought if we received even a gigantic offer for Javier.

Bingo ! Absolutely spot on.

I agree with all this, however, I think if we were to accept this deal (it's bullshit by the way, I'm talking hypothetics here) then we would accept it on a footballing basis rather than a monetary one. Hernandez is pure quality but so is Higuain and Benzema has a stack of potential to be unleashed.

That said I hope to God we wouldn't accept this as I couldn't care less for a couple of Madrid rejects. Hernandez has the potential to be not only a quality player for this club but a quality professional aswell and they are hard to come by.

Knowing Mourinho, it will be probably be something like 18m + Lassana Diarra offered

whilst, higuain IMO is more well rounded than hernandez and benz has some ridiculous potential.

Not a chance i'd do this deal.

Hernandez is settled, enjoys the club, meshes well with rooney, is on relatively low wages, opens up massive north american markets.

Hernandez is the quickest and best in the air out of the 3. Higuain is the most well rounded and has shown the highest level of play IMO so far. Benz i think has the highest ceiling of the three but is extremely far from fulfilling that potential.

Would not in a million years want to risk it right now, esp since you never know how the other two would play in the premiership.

That said, Hernandez really needs to improve his combination play, general passing, and dribbling. That would really vault him onto to the eto'o/david villa path of being world class instead of the current michael owen path of 'very good'.

United would be stupid to accept any offer for him. Marketing-wise, we're becoming bigger players in Latin America because of players like him, Valencia, and the Brazilians. More importantly, he adds a great deal to the team and knows how to score instinctively.

Totally !

Amazing player who believes in his abilities and he's actually kind of a modest footballer, who can show some gratitude and respect for the club.

Modern-day football is already chipping away at my soul; if Javier Hernandez leaves for the circus that is Surreal Madrid, I fear my heart would break into pieces...

*flounces off clutching handkerchief* :D

And there's the fact of nearly 40 million Mexican-origin folks in the US (including illegals), accounting for almost 30% of the world's Mexican-ancestry population. And on average, those will likely have more spending power than those in Mexico.

Hernandez is certainly bigger among Mexicans than Anderson or the twins are in Brazil, and comes from a much more populous country than Valencia. We've only scratched the surface in terms of the marketing pounds/pesos/dollars that can be generated.

question is do they buy official or bootleged

According to reports Real Madrid are pushing to land Manchester United star Javier Hernandez.

The Daily Mail claims Real boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to persuade his United counterpart to part with the Mexican sensation by offering two strikers, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema.

However, it seems any offer for Mexico international, who scored a hat-trick for his country at the weekend, will be summarily dismissed by Ferguson.

With the 23-year-old scoring 20 times during a campaign that ended with a starting place in the Champions League Final against Barcelona at Wembley, it is no surprise that Europe’s biggest clubs are looking at a player who signed for United on relatively modest £40,000-a-week terms last summer.

Piss off Real
Benzema plus Higuain? :lol:Who pays these idiots who write this crap a salary?

Wouldn't swap him for any Real player to be honest. I have a preference for players who were born as stars at United. So while Benzema, Higuain etc might be big name players and indeed players with a lot of ability, Hernandez is ours (and pretty fecking great btw).
