Is it at all possible that the journalists are basing this rumour entirely on the plot from the movie 'Goal'?
I couldn't rule it out.
I couldn't rule it out.
Hernandez will spend his best years at United
We only sell Madrid viruses and Ronaldo
I'm actually happy, we sell them Heinze.
we cant sell... it would be bad for the club's brand equity. We sell out top stars to RM and get their rejects? Will be type-cast as a feeder club to RM.
There's another aspect to it too - I was reading today how commercially important Javier's become to United (amongst other things, his shirt has outsold all others for the past nine months). Surely United's marketing department learned from Real effectively funding Ronaldo's signing via shirt sales alone? Added to this, Hernandez is massively popular in his home country (and, by extension, United are too); this, and the American market, would give the club's commercial people pause for thought if we received even a gigantic offer for Javier.

Hernandez is settled, enjoys the club, meshes well with rooney, is on relatively low wages, opens up massive north american markets.
And there's the fact of nearly 40 million Mexican-origin folks in the US (including illegals), accounting for almost 30% of the world's Mexican-ancestry population. And on average, those will likely have more spending power than those in Mexico.United would be stupid to accept any offer for him. Marketing-wise, we're becoming bigger players in Latin America because of players like him, Valencia, and the Brazilians. More importantly, he adds a great deal to the team and knows how to score instinctively.

Hernandez is certainly bigger among Mexicans than Anderson or the twins are in Brazil, and comes from a much more populous country than Valencia. We've only scratched the surface in terms of the marketing pounds/pesos/dollars that can be generated.
Benzema plus Higuain? Who pays these idiots who write this crap a salary?According to reports Real Madrid are pushing to land Manchester United star Javier Hernandez.
The Daily Mail claims Real boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to persuade his United counterpart to part with the Mexican sensation by offering two strikers, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema.
However, it seems any offer for Mexico international, who scored a hat-trick for his country at the weekend, will be summarily dismissed by Ferguson.
With the 23-year-old scoring 20 times during a campaign that ended with a starting place in the Champions League Final against Barcelona at Wembley, it is no surprise that Europe’s biggest clubs are looking at a player who signed for United on relatively modest £40,000-a-week terms last summer.

Piss off Real
More likely to buy official in the US than in Mexico, I would think, making the US segment all that much more important.question is do they buy official or bootleged
