Real Madrid eye up Carlos Tevez

Were you a fan of Van Nistlerooy Boss?

He was a fabulous goal scorer, phenomenal even, but sometimes I thought he restricted the flow of our play, of course this can be down to the midfield we had at the time, but yeah.

Anyway Higuain, when he's not scorng goals, I think he's very average at times, but he's a striker so what more could you ask for right. I guess

:D thats sort of what I was getting at originally!!!

Probably nonsense but would be a great signing for Madrid imo. The last time he played in a team with Ronnie week in week out he won the league and CL double.

The type of workrate and fight Tevez would bring to the table is exactly what that club need.

Manchester City transfer news Real Madrid have made Carlos Tevez their top summer transfer target and have sounded out his advisor about a potential £35m move - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has made Carlos Tevez his number one transfer target this summer.

Mourinho wants Real Madrid's hierarchy to back him with a big-money bid to reunite the Manchester City striker with his former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

And the Special One appears to be getting his way as Real general manager Jorge Valdano has sounded out Tevez's adviser, Kia Joorabchian, about a potential £35million move.

City are facing a major battle to keep Tevez this summer, with the Argentinian striker believed to be considering his future.

Inter Milan have also been linked with the player, but the outgoing European champions' president Massimo Moratti played the idea down last week.

Ex-Chelsea boss Mourinho is a big admirer of Tevez and wanted to sign him in January, but the Spanish giants brought in Emmanuel Adebayor on loan from City instead as they struggled to fund a big-money offer.

Real, who have already agreed a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund's Turkish playmaker Nuri Sahin at the end of the season, may be willing to use midfielders Lassana Diarra and Sergio Canales as part of any deal to tempt City.

The Spanish giants, set for another huge splash in the transfer market to yet again try to make up ground on arch-rivals Barcelona this summer, have recently given up on Atletico Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente to concentrate on Tevez.

Mourinho's position has been under threat because of the ugly manner of their Champions League defeat to Barca, but he is determined to have the final say over targets and a quality striker is his top priority.

I am fairly certain they "write" these while taking a dump.

I can see it happening although Mourinho usually prefers tall and physical strikers so he would probably go for Drogba first as he is likely to depart from Chelsea. I am not sure what Real's plan for next season is, are they going to play 451 or play with two strikers.

They are desperate for a striker. Having three big name strikers is not going to be good for them, especially if Tevez is one of them. He is going to start complaining very soon and is going to say he is going to retire and go back to Argentina.

If it were true then I'd say that Real Madrid has lost the plot... where do they get ideas like this?

If Tevez signs for them along with Sahin then it probably spells the end for either Alonso or someone else in central mid!
I can really see Tevez off to Madrid considering Soaish is his native language and he is the definitely the type of player Mourinho would love to buy! He will be a big success there.

He'd be great for them. They need his kind of feisty character. But I think maybe a more physical striker will suit them better.

Perez might have done a good job from another perspective, they're raking moneys everywhere from selling shirts, tv, sponsors, etc

It could have been other things he have in mind, and probably he's gettin it so far.

We could always argue about ethics, glory, etc but he might not see thigns with our specs

Jose Alberti (FIFA-AGENT)

"Su Tévez è già tutto scritto, ha firmato con l’Inter. Il suo agente Kia Joorabchian, che detiene anche parte del suo cartellino, ha trovato l’accordo con i nerazzurri".
''Tevez is already an Inter Milan player. He has already signed for Inter. His agent, Kia Joorabchian, who owns some of the transfer rights, has reached an agreement with Inter.''

Alberti: "Tvez-Inter tutto fatto. E Agero..." - FC Inter News

Er, surely Kia doesn't still own any of his rights? If so City would be fielding an ineligible player and be docked a massive amount of points.

It is not a surprise he has signed for Inter but I did not think it would have been decided two weeks into May.

Well the story says twat agent owns some of his transfer rights and that can't be true with the whole no third party owners thing - especially since he was central to it.

In practice I'd say it's more likely to be a sell on clause or some sort of exercisable option to buy part of his registration if he leaves the country.

Sneijder leaving Inter?

The only way I can see Inter accomadating Tevez's wages is if Sneijder was going to be sold. Could there be something substantial in the rumours linking him with United?

interesting. suazo is probably gone. they have eto'o, pazzini, milito and pandev...surely they will not all stay with tevez coming in.

Wouldnt be surprising if one of Eto'o and Milito was part of the Tevez deal. Possibly along with Sneijder.
