REAL MADRID EYE UP CARLOS TEVEZ | News Of The World

REAL MADRID will be ready to tempt Carlos Tevez this summer if the Argentinian can't agree a new deal with Manchester City.

And Inter Milan will also be ready to move in for the 26-year-old forward.

Though Tevez joined City only last summer from Manchester United, his advisors believe he has not maximized his earning potential.

Tevez's controversial move from United was worth over £47million to management company MSI and gave the player a five-year deal worth £130,000 a week.

But I understand Tevez believes he should be entitled to at least the £160,000 paid to City **** Robinho.

And he knows his Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi is in on approaching £30m a year at Barcelona.

On the basis he can be a major force alongside Messi at the World Cup, Tevez is ready to press to become English football's top earner.

He knows he could top £200,000 a week at Madrid or go close to that at Inter, where he might have gone last summer.

Madrid have lost the 'wow' factor to rivals Barca this season, especially in the Champions league.

They want a new star to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo - as Tevez did at United.

Wayne Rooney is high on their wish list.

Rooney, though, is likely to seek an improvement in his deal at United rather than move to Spain.

That would leave Tevez as Real's main target at a fee of at least £60m.

Didn't they enquire about him last summer? I am sure if there is any truth in this City will look to get Higuain as part of the deal.

I really could see this happening, Tevez does like the bench

Really I think that Higuain is yet to peak, we have seen the best of Tevez and will for a while, but Gonzalo is going to get better and better

I could see Real Madrid attempt to sign Tevez's old mate too - Mascherano.

Casillas
Ramos - Pepe - Albiol - Arbeloa
Mascherano - Alonso
Tevez - van der Vaart - Ronaldo
Higuain

That would be scary.

I don't think that the people in charge of Madrid really care that much about that.

Perez needs to understand, Madrid will have to get back to basics on day. If they keep spending on big players but ultimately don't win trophies eventually their massive fanbase would start to decline. The top players would not want to go their and stop believing the hype that they are the best and what will they have to fall back on when this ultimately has an impact on the cash flow and the ability to sell the club's image.

What the club is dying for, well for years now, is just a bit of stablity. They should look at their Catalan rivals and try and copy their blueprint just a bit, but their seems to be too much pride.

I know. It's a bit like Liverpool with wingers during Rafa's time - he just seems to refuse to acknowledge what is needed.

Long may it continue for both!

Ronaldinho sold/sells a shit load of shirts.

I know, he's being ironic, that's how dumb Perez is to be honest, football ability tends to go out the window, the only reason Raul even makes appearences and Guti whilst so many great players have been thrown out and shown the door.

The symbol of their downfall and lunacy was the loss of the engine Makalele, paying him nothing compared to these 'superstars' even tough he was integral to their success.

Fanbois are always going to flock towards Madrid as long as they're making big signings. Maybe when Perez leaves there might be a switch in their business plan, but you can't expect him to actually be sensible!!!!!

I don't see this happening for the long term anymore, the longer they go without the CL and the longer they keep making the last 16 their fanbase will decline and the players themselves, would think, wait hold on, why on earth would I go Madrid, they are actually pretty gash as the word from disgruntled former employees continue to spread.

Not arguing with your point, but it's useful to note that Barcelona's net transfer spending since Guardiola took over has been 75-80 million euro per season. Barca has achieved stability mainly due to Guardiola's horrendous transfer record (Chygrynskyi, Hleb, Keirrison immediately come to mind).

But they have enjoyed moderate success in the last few years. take it from the last time they won the Champions league; 2002. They've won 7 trophies since then: 3 La Ligas, 2 Spanish Supercups, 1 European Supercup and a Club World Cup. Now I'll agree it's hardly the greatest collection of cups. But the club was still highly regarded around that time. So, similar to the case of Ronaldo, a lot of youth players watching the "mighty" Real back then will still be interested in following up the likes of Zidane, Figo and Raul. You still see so many people claim Real as their boyhood clubs, I don't see how it will change when they're still signing players like Ronaldo and Kaka.

Keirroson was bought as a youth prospect, albeit an expensive one. He was sent on loan for experience. Guardiola does have a shit record at buying players. Caceres also comes to mind

Very true, natually Pep has spent heavily but they still seem to keep a certain core of world class talent and tweak around it whilst keeping the same manager, remember Rijkaard was there for quite a bit before getting the boot. There's always a core so players who come in adapt to it, instead of the team having to come up with a new way of playing every year.

Madrid completely revamp everything and stick with useless talent like Gago,Raul etc. The fact that a youth player in Pedro can put the nail in their coffin in their own stadium is symbolic of Madrid needing to wake up and stop destabalising things so drastically every single year. They don't need to be spending 250 millon to be successful but slowly create a team. In el clasico they were all individuals and their policy is a reflection of this.

As much as Ibra cost, I think he was worth it, well maybe not worth that much, but they knew what they were getting a world class footballer.

I don't think Madrid can financially compete with City for players, or at least, not City's players (if they qualify for the CL).

Didn't think I'd be saying that a couple of years ago...

Well he's scored against Madrid and both round of the knock out stages, so he's done it for them when it's truly mattered which is what everybody wants from big money signings. His record in the league is not too shabby either.

Maybe they see Tevez as a new Zamarano, leading with that fighting style from the front, if they were to get him I reckon one of their other strikers would definitely be on his bike.

Yeah it's like they are run by a fan forum hahahaa

I can see why this might happen. You have to remember Real Madrid dont always make football decisions, sometimes the president makes decisions to make himself look "good" so that when the elections come around, the candidate that he throws his support behind is the one to take over. Or so that he can continue as president in the future.

Higuain has done brilliantly for Madrid this season. But each time he scores a game winner, it takes the shine off of the "Galacticos" because he was signed in a previous era with another president. Really its somewhat of a spanner in the works for perez. So he'll most likely want to get someone else in to replace him and Tevez wouldnt be a bad option at all.

Could see tevez jumping ship.

He doesn't have a track record of staying in the same place for too long.

Well that's it then, reckon he will fall on his face at Madrid too

Good for Mancini. Shouldn't have to put up with that.

Would be hilarious. No way would Citeh recoup that 47m.

Why are you sleeping, it's all true, regarding this, the man needs to grow up if he thinks two training sessions is too much,, all the cash he's getting, dude should be able to do 10 training sessions, footballers these days, bloody hell
