Reading Festival 2010

Yup. Was fecking ridiculous, and even when they eventually played some music Axls vocal were awful. Reading cut his mic at midnight and he got out a megaphone, starting telling people to feck off and announced he was pulling out of Leeds.

Why, did he turn up mega late again then start going on about how the council want to shut him down? He did that when they headlined Leeds 2002, keeps us waiting for over an hour I think then towards the end starts saying us all in the crowd "council are trying to shut me down, I say F*** that", but it was him being so late as he always is that caused it all. :wenger::lol: That's after he broke tradition and only did the Leeds leg of it and not Reading.

Shame really because they're amazing live and no doubt loads would have gone just to see them alone. Guns N Roses was only ever Axl and Slash but anyway and he's proved its much easier to replace him and all of them that it is for them to replace him, as seen with VR. When I saw them they had Buckethead as lead guitarist though.

Radio 1 have not got any of their video on on their site, guessing he has to agree to it first, again, a shame.

I really haven't enjoyed it that much this year. So far I've seen Guns 'n' Roses, Biffy Clyro, Dizzee Rascal, The Cribs, Enter Shikari and Pendulum. It's not really the music though, it's more the fact that everywhere seems to be full of 17 year old middle class wankers.

My mates girlfriend and her friends are at Reading and he was watching The Libertines on BBC3 and is 95% sure he saw her on some guys shoulders in the crowd. He ain't happy, lol.

From what I've heard G'n'R were shockingly shite, were they?

I thought they were pretty good at Leeds, bit of a wait but they were alright. Too many people seam to jump at the chance to have a dig at them for whatever reasons, it's just cool to hate Axl Rose.

I think you're right.

I was at Reading and they turned up at about 22:40 for a 21:30 slot. The crowd were booing before they even got on stage.
Axl's voice got a bit drowned out at first, but some of the Appetite stuff was performed well and they did a very enjoyable instrumental rendition of the James Bond theme followed by Live and Let Die. This was met with a smattering of applause, but not much.

Whatever momentum they gained by playing some classic songs from appetite was immediately lost when they played some of the worst songs from Chinese Democracy. These were often met with silence or boos.

The guitarist Dj Ashba turned up in a tall hat and played a Gibson Les Paul that looked very similar to Slash's. This obviously didn't help matters!

I felt a bit sorry for them, but they turned up late and made it hard for themselves from the off. I was too far away to hear what Axl said at the end but it was funny watching the sit down protest.

Weezer were the most entertaining band I saw. They seemed to get the whole crowd singing Teenage Dirtbag :wenger:

I really enjoyed Blink 182. Probably the best band of the weekend I thought. I was expecting them to be shit as well.
