A player *like* him for experience/leadership with view to being backup isn't a bad idea. John Terry himself? Absolutely not. Didn't Mourinho bench him at Chelsea anyway?

Yeah, I get what you're saying but for some reason I've never really hated Cole the same way I have Colin Hendry, Patrick Vieira, Joey Barton, Luis Suarez, Ben Thatcher, John Terry etc.

Honestly thought about this scenario recently - just the idea of bringing him in for more leadership and experience.

Think it could be a nightmare though in certain games given how he's regressing.
