According to @GlastonSpur this isn't a Man Utd forum, but a football forum with a rather large United subsection.
In the same way an orange isnt an orange but is a fruit that happens to be coloured orange?
I think he uses it as justification for why he spends so much time on here, and always pop up right after a Spurs victory.
To be fair to him there are a lot of fans who support many different teams other than Utd that frequent this forum - it is a good forum.
so what colour are the apples he's comparing them to?
edit - I hate myself for conversationalizing this but it would seem that Oranges are not always orange. (I have an imaginary Spurs supporting mate, who completely coincidentally, happens to work in a Greengrocers told me this) & also about this article in the Telegraph,

It is funny how traits for supporters carries over national borders. There will be variations of course, but certain broad lines can be recognized:
United - mostly smug
Pool - mostly delusional
City - bitter and with a sense of entitlement
Chelsea - chavvy
Arse - hipsters
