RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Cant think which back-pass it was against (Arsenal or City), but it looked deliberate - so to help Arsenal or City beat us to the league..
There was one against Chelsea in 2010 which led to Drogba scoring in front of the Kop when Chelsea pipped United to the title.

The poetry has started.

And, sadly, much, much more on this page:

Moments in Stevie's career;

Away on a rager,
His frustrated head,
Their little Lord Stevie,
Stamped on Ander's leg.

Ball, hoo
Good God y'all
What is it good for?
Miss calculating the speed of it and failing to control its movement, allowing it to be collected by opposition players and allowing them to score the winner whilst causing your team to frantically try and claw back a draw - an effort that is further damaged by your own selfish desire to be involved in the comeback resulting in you shooting from distance and generally acting like a massive twat.
Say it again y'all.

And what a roll model. Playing today butter shame he is leaving.

It gives a whole new perspective of historical events.

In a world where golden gloves matters more than the title itself, who's to say your hero can't be made out of bread. Thanks for the memories, Stevie.

You'll never walk Stallone.

No idea whether he is or isn't, but most successful =/= best. ;)

I agree of course - but how can you judge someone as the greatest when he has played for a team that has varied from mediocre to very good - but never great ? Especially when he is judged against players who played for the best team in the world ?

Well from his 17 years in the EPL, I can think of at least 17 players that put him in the shade. In midfield alone he was well down the ladder of top players, even if we only select midfield players. I accept there was a year or two when he looked very good, when Chelsea wanted him. The problem with Slippy was not just his dubious Liverpudlian status but his need to be part of groups of players that rarely achieved big things. IMO that was akin to being a big fish at Binfield but feared being swallowed up if he moved.

Generally I think it's impossible to compare players from different eras - for example I don't think it's possible to compare Charlton and Scholes, even if you've seen both of them play. The situation is just so different. I wouldn't go further than saying Gerrard's their best player for the last 20 years. However I'm not convinced he is - Torres was brilliant while he was there, as was Alonso, Suarez, and a handful of others. He's been around longer, but longevity doesn't necessarily make you the best.

Also agree with @Stretford End Phil, if you're talking about the whole league rather than just Liverpool he's nowhere near the top for me (and that's just PL, worldwide he'd be even further down the list).

Oooooh yeah, preach it pigeon!

Didn't he do one for England v France as well? Euro 2004?

A Zidane penalty came to mind when you said that.

 He's Ol'skool Liverpool through & through alright - a modern-day scouse back-pass legend..

The main point being though, is that he's done the back-pass deliberately to help the other team to beat us to the league: ala Chelsea at Anfield in 2010..

I was at that game. Didn't help that David James did a Tekken kick on the player to concede it. Then that last minute Zidane free kick put a real dampener on the evening.
