A quote from the BBC comments about the draw, I swear about 90% of them are Pool fans, every 2nd comment is complaining about our draw without a mention of City or Liverpool's equally easy draws. How are them and City complaining about the draw ffs :wenger: Especially considering Liverpool were in Pot 3 and got that group
Yeah being a third seed and avoiding every elite team or past winner would raise suspicions if it was fathomable to fix a 32 team 8 group draw. They are lunatics.

Lukaku will obviously be your top goalscorer, i didn't say he was your only goalscorer in the team.

I fully expect Utd to drill shit teams as they have been doing, you have alot of good attacking players - but I think your defence is absolute tosh; Lindelof, Bailly, Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Blind, Valencia, Shaw, Darmian. Alot of of players but no really good ones.. Maybe i'd have Bailly infront of Klavan just because he has the speed to keep up with our league but otherwise pretty poor - I can see you getting mullered against teams who actually attack, obviously we've not seen that so far against a WHU team that will probably go down and a Swansea team that will also be scrapping against relegation.

I imagine Leicester will put a few past you next weekend, score draw.

Bailly is only just better than Klavan and our defence which conceded 29 goals last season is very poor while there's that conceded 42 is apparently fine. One issue we've not had for ages is getting hammered

Valencia is better than Clyne and Jones/Rojo would easily be in with a shout too.

Sometimes I seriously wonder, I do, as to how can people have such opinions. Maybe they're all just unsuccessful internet trolls, trolling themselves, but then that would entail a huge fan following full of such fools.

This is truly incredible.

The only Liverpool fan on there is Johnno (pretending to be United fan). All the others are United fans on a wind up.

They are a nightmare at this time of year. It honestly must be so soul destroying supporting that club. The only way to cope is through denial or plain delusion.

Christ it's like a game of postal correspondence football. For only £12:99 monthly you can receive 4 (four) thrilling first-class posted real-paper letters with painstaking and irrelevant analysis accompanied by pictures taken by a phone even Nokia don't sell anymore. It's all you need minus the fake tan to become as full of footballing shite as Brendan Rodgers™. He keeps saying 'what happens next' like its some kind of comedy catch-phrase that the kids at home can say along with him.

Around 850 years ago my cousin Vinnie was fired by Henry II (Count of Anjou, Maine and Nantes, Duke of Normandy and Aquitaine - the latter by virtue of his wife, the lady Eleanor of Aquitaine, and King of England) for some pretty similar stuff. He was weaving tapestries at the time and kept adding way too much text, which was really pretty superfluous considering most people couldn't even read at the time. He maintains to this day that it was an unjust dismissal but at the end of the day you can't get away with an inferior end-product so I think he got what he deserved. Also tapestries as an art-form may have been on the way out, but it's easy with the benefit of several centuries' hindsight to blame long-term trends for individual events. Vinnie should have seen the artistic tastes of the Western European chivalric class changing; Liverpool should have adapted when the back-pass rule was introduced. Neither of them did and I laugh at them both. If anyone wants a tapestry done I know a guy who can set you up, although he's eligible to do knightly service for the Angevin dynasty for 40 days a year so bear that in mind.
 Fecking hell, came across this gem and proceeded to read all 26 of your other posts. Are you Pletch in disguise? Bravo, take a bow.

OK, sit down & compose yourselves, I'll try & post this whopper with some space in front of it. Put down your hot drinks.

Either it means that:

  1. 50 is the new 20s or
  2. it means that he is a relative neophyte in terms of winning silverware so he is relatively young and fresh.

They're a good big match team and historically have a strong record in Europe. They will out perform Tottenham and Arsenal.. so I don't see why they are likely to get spanked any more than the rest of the English sides.

Loserpools record in the CL in the last 8 years, in groups with the powerhouse of Ludogorets, Debrecen, Basel and Fiorentina in:

Played 12 - Lost 6, drew 3, won 3. Goal difference of -7. Knocked out at the group stage both times. Won nothing in Europe for 12 years and nothing apart from the league cup in the last 10 years either

And also the fact that they are shit now, and have been for the last 28 odd years. The fact that they ship goals galore, have no clue to defending at all, have a crap squad where their 1 Ok players wants out, the fact that just 1 injury and they have no back up players of even close to the same level (apart from their youngsters who are all literally Messi at least in potential) and have a manager who has no clue at all and literally only has 1 plan to on how to play whatever the situation

Because whatever they like to make up and believe their record in the league for the last 8 years is:

2010 - 7th - won nothing
2011 - 6th - won league cup against Cardiff, on penalties
2012 - 8th - won nothing
2013 - 7th - won nothing
2014 - 2nd - won nothing
2015 - 6th - won nothing
2016 - 8th - won nothing
2017 - 4th - won nothing

(PS MU in same time period 11 trophies won, Chelsea - 9, MC - 6, Arsenal - 5) (PS2 in the last 25 years they have won less trophies than MUFC has in the last 7 years while we go through one of our worst periods of history)

With one of the biggest net spends over that period and in the top 4 for wages as well

Because of all that I see spankings a plenty coming their way, which, obviously, won't be their fault at all as they play the victims card yet again

How many times did they play Real, Barca or Bayern in recent times to claim they play better against them? Or are they counting pre-season? They still haven't lived down Real Madrid vs Reserves FC under Rodgers:lol:

Bayern, Barca, Liverpool and a minnow would do nicely to ensure they end up in the EL.

Because loserpool hardly ever make the CL, they haven't played them that often. In the last 10 years their record against just these 3 is: 4 loses, 1 draw and 1 win

Why would they laugh about Zlatan?

Didn't he score more goals than any Liverpool player last season?
Because Zlatan's finished. But it doesn't matter because he's shit anyway. But we're gonna be shit without him this season because he carried us last year and was our only good player and Lukaku is far inferior. But it's still a huge mistake to sign him back, cause he's shit.

The same bloke who before last season was posting Zlatan was crap and finished etc and said he would bet his (council) house that he wouldn't score more than 5 goals all season (he then scored more than any of their players in 2/3 of a season before injury) is there again saying exactly the same things!! Plus now because he is coming back from injury (coz like that never happened to him before did it) he is now doubly crap!

to be honest I haven't really looked on their forum. There certainly are tossers in both sets and I think it speaks for the RAWK mods and ethos, that we have that higher moral ground.

I've only ever looked on GOT and Redcaff when others have posted links, but, from the little I've seen, their mods/admins join in with the derogatory comments and insults. The staff should set a certain standard, which they do here.

I literally have no words

Red nose had something much more important than money - he had referees.

Yeah I get all that, but it can't be denied that a shit liverpool still won the Champions League against all odds in 2005. Now I don't think this side will do that, but if they keep Coutinho, it is a pretty cohesive side up front and could cause some damage. Either way with Liverpool, you're either going to get spectacular wins or comedy football.. they don't really do consistent mediocrity in Europe like a Spurs or Arsenal - they have proper pedigree.

Actually looking for a good gif of his knee-slide celebration at Anfield during that same group phase. Couldn't find one good enough! Do you have one? :)

Why would they laugh about Zlatan?

Because they look shit early on and it's depressing seeing the contrast between themselves and United. They need to downplay literally everything positive that United do.

Lukaku has a good start? "Look, lads, the BBC are declaring him world player of the year after two games."

Zlatan signs a new contract? "Mourinho's shot himself in the foot with this one. He can't keep both Lukaku and Ibra happy."

United are looking good for another Premier League title? "It's official. United have negotiated a new contract with the The Referees' Association."

Did you count community shields in there? Come on, don't be that guy.

I don't care about the counting stuff, but find it weird when people think the community shield matters for feck all while the European super cups do, or the club world cup, or the domestic super cups from other countries.

They are all either easy wins once you are there or a one-off final you got to by actually winning something.

The Euro ones are not that important but they're a hell of a lot more worthwhile than the charity cup. We haven't taken a community shield seriously in a decade, its always just treated as a pre-season warmup.

this would be perfect with the Liverpool fan saying the 5 times to the Madrid player

A mate of mine who supports Liverpool (he's real) reckons its widely accepted that Real's first 5 European cup wins are invalid as it was a much smaller competition with fewer teams.

Would anyone agree with this? I know it's a different competition nowadays but surely it's not widely accepted.

Surely that would invalidate 4 of Liverpool's too though?

Liverpool's were the exact same.

Conjecture apart, it was what it was so it's valid unless you can prove corruption. Besides our insular FL told Chelsea not to enter so no wonder it was a narrower field.

Madrid also managed to corner the market for some great players from the disarray in Post War Europe; good thinking on their part or exploitation? You decide

They beat us fair and square before the Munich Air disaster and who knows how we would have fared as that team was so young and full of potential

I did suggest that but the competition was much bigger by the time they got their wins apparently.

Moving the goalposts when it suits.

I just thought the comment about it being widely accepted that they're really only on 7 or 8 or whatever seemed wide of the mark. I'd literally never heard it before.

No, he's presumably talking about Real's wins in the 1950s. Pool's two apiece in the 70s and 80s are fair enough.
You can make the same argument about the WC back in the 30s. All a bit pointless though.
