Ravel Morrison - Fulham bid rejected.

Being at a nightclub on one occasion, or even more, isn't an implication that said player, generally, doesn't avoid the nightclub scene. It's entirely plausible that Morrison rarely goes out.

And if he did, I doubt it's a problem. Welbeck and Cleverley like a night out when they're off.

I doubt he rarely goes out and I doubt even more that he's some kind of role model professional as Taylor tries to paint out. He specifically says he doesn't drink or go clubbing, well plainly, he does.

The current situation has been caused entirely by Allardyce and West Ham supposedly, and yet somehow Taylor has ended up with inside information about it, and knows that Fulham also have inside information about it, which narrows the possibilities of how and why down to just 1...Morrison or his agent deliberately stirring shit.

Read my post again. You're essentially agreeing with my overall implication. Your "Robinho not having talent wasn't one of them" line is arguing against something I never said.

Even so, Morrison doesn't do enough on the pitch. He has skill and a good first touch, but he doesn't really do all that much. He just isn't that good.

Your point was he isn't good enough right?

I disagree with that, whole heartedly. I don't think you have watched him enough.

So, what's next for our Ravel?

Do people see him continuing down this road of switching from club to club, looking full of talent but offield problems effecting him going any further?

West Ham don't seem to want much to do with him, Redknapp admits it's a gamble they've taken him on loan. Not so long a go he was getting tipped for a world cup place, plus people in here were hoping that Moyes was seriously considering bringing him back.

The world's a different place these days for him, the media are not talking about his immense abilty on the pitch, but the problems off it. Us fans on here have barely uttered his name as a potential signing in the last few months. How things change in football.

My opinion is that he won't get anywhere until he gets the correct people around him, advising what is the right direction to go in. He is still only 21 years old, I'd hope that he'd mature enough and perform how his talent should let him so that we'd have him back, but my head tells me otherwise.

Shame what could of been.

I think there's more than meets the eye with this agent talk. But realistically, I think he should have stayed with West Ham, because 'Arry and QPR won't care about his development. QPR have 5 strikers (including our Will Keane :() so this is one of the worst loan choices he could have made.

I think he will have a respectable career in the end - hopefully closer to someone like Aaron Lennon than David Bentley.

It's a shame. At the beginning of the season, well mostly after his goal against Tottenham it wasn't beyond the realms of possibility that he would find himself on the plane to the world cup. A few months on and he finds himself on loan in the championship after failing to nail down a starting spot in one of the poorer teams in the league. West Ham's better run of results has coincided with him being out of the team, so he wasn't going to find his way back in.

Big Sam said today or yesterday that the rumours regarding agents are all false and he has reason to believe that the news was leaked from Morrison's camp. I know Big Sam has said some right crap over the years but I doubt he would criticise Morrison's 'team' in such a manner unless he had reason to think they were making decisions that are hindering Morrison's career. He was meant to have grown out of all this but it would appear not.

Why do we think Fergie gave up on him?

I think that Ravel had to leave Manchester. Its hard to change your behaviour when you're in the same place with the same people as you always were, and clearly Ravel's behaviour in Manchester was not doing him or us any favours.

Big Sam responds.
"It's completely unfounded," Allardyce saidon Thursday. "The rumours or allegations will be made probably by Ravel's representatives but there's no truth in the fact that I have sat with Ravel Morrison and tried to press him into signing anything with any agent, never mind mine. It's his choice and his decision, not mine – unless they ask me."

Allardyce was asked if Morrison has sought his help in finding a new agent. "If he did, I wouldn't tell you anyway but, no, he didn't," he said. "I haven't had a discussion with Ravel signing with Mark Curtis. The world that revolves around Ravel is quite unique in terms of the publicity he gets, but there we go."

Asked whether Morrison has played his last game for West Ham, Allardyce said: "No. Ravel wanted to play some first-team football. He wasn't getting it as much here as he wanted so we've let him go on loan. Our consistent performance and the acquisitions of [Antonio] Nocerino, [Marco] Borriello and [Pablo] Armero have given us a bigger squad and Ravel has found it a little more difficult to get in."

Whatever the rights or wrongs here, getting the press involved was an incredibly stupid idea from someone in Morrison's "team". The last thing a player with his reputation needs is to to associated with yet more drama. Not to mention massively pissing off the manager currently in charge of his development.

Check out Kevin Kilbane biog. Pretty much says Sam tried to get him to sign with Curtis as well.

Birmingham boss Clark: 2-goal Morrison best since Gazza
Birmingham City
boss Lee Clark heaped praise on QPR's two-goal Ravel Morrison after their 2-0 defeat.

Morrison, on-loan from West Ham United, spent time at Brum last season.

Clark said: "He is the best footballer since Paul Gascoigne.

"If Paul Gascoigne had not done his knee he would have become the best player in the world.

"I played with Paul. I grew up with Paul. The only thing is that Ravel doesn't know who Paul Gascoigne is!

"He has the pace of a wide-man. He has the balance but plays in the middle of the pitch because he can manoeuvre the ball.

"Ravel can score goals as we have seen. It is what is between the ears with him and he knows about this problem.

"He now has a perfect manager because Harry Redknapp loves those type of players.

"Ravel can change games and I thought he was a class act against Birmingham.

"I was hoping that he would continue doing it for West Ham because I would love to see him on that plane to Brazil. He would certainly be capable of doing something for England coming off the bench for ten minutes in any environment."

Can't all these wankers just stop filling his head with shit and let him develop as a footballer and young man for a while?

Have no idea how Lee Clark is a manager, he is a clueless Geordie who sounds and looks as thick as pigshit when he speaks.

perhaps they want him to realise just how good he could be if he puts the work in?
or he could end up like another gazza who never lived up to his potential (and although the knee undoubtedly played a big part in that we all must be aware that all that surrounded gazza outside football probably didnt help either)
I still have hopes of him back here one day and although those hopes might be quite remote I certainly hope from an England perspective he becomes that player he could be

I think his comment was more aimed at the fact everyone seem's to be very quick to praise him after a few things good, at which point it goes to his head and performances drop, I think perhaps he (Pexbo) was more saying perhaps let him have a whole good season before you give him this sort of praise, not after one game..
