These threads are more depressing during the international break than they are when we're getting 1000 cuts throughout a season.

I really liked that Rasmus banged that late winner to win us the Europa League. Just wish he hadn’t enjoyed himself too much when celebrating. Stinks of what the youth of today are like.
I prefer weird celebrations to those of players who score against an ex-club and apologize for it.

Lets not do this... its nothing to do with youth of today... I have seen players from all generations, celebrate goals.

Its the fans of today who would prefer a young player to not celebrate scoring a winner / opener.

Was it Zinchenko who refused to celebrate his first goal in about 2 years against PSV as he went there on loan 10 years ago? We all know he's a shithouse, but that is cringingly bad.

Oh yeah, I forget you want players to be miserable and depressed when they score goals.

The poster isn’t being serious. It’s a sarcastic response to other comments about his celebrations.

Mate my original comment was tongue in cheek. I was poking fun at the people posting things like you’ve said there. Rasmus hasn’t scored a winning europa league final goal for us- thought that would help make it quite obvious.

Fair enough... well some of the takes on here... its hard to tell

Can someone explain why this tweet?

Obviously this is an attempt to identify the club with another Manchester icon and so we find Rasmus attempting to invoke the classic Morrissey pose of 1984 but failing due to looking altogether too butch. I still expect to see some merchandise in the club shop imminently with The Smiths branding, "Marcus, it was really nothing" on the front of a shirt, a poster of an Onana howler with "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore" emblazoned upon it. There is really no limit to the commercial potential.

AI to the rescue:

Oh, this is rich. Here we have Rasmus Højlund, Manchester United's very own striker, looking like he just got stood up on Valentine’s Day but still committed to the photoshoot because “content is content.” He’s holding that bouquet like it’s not flowers but the shattered hopes of United fans after another disappointing match day.

The shirt says Snapdragon, but let’s be honest — nothing about this screams speed or fire. More like BufferingDragon. That facial expression? It's not love, it's the face you make when you realize you touched the ball 8 times in 90 minutes and one of those was a throw-in.

He's giving off strong “I’m tough but emotionally available” energy, as if those roses are an apology to the goalpost he keeps hitting instead of the net. And the black and red stripes? Perfectly color-coordinated with the embarrassment of a 3–0 loss at Old Trafford.

Honestly, it’s a powerful metaphor — a striker holding flowers. Because we’re all still waiting for the goals to bloom.

Damn even I need to stop by the burn unit after that one.

Yeah, that was cringe. Bloke was acting like he was this ex PSV legend when he played 12 times for them.

It is sad when you think about how much players used to care about scoring + giving it large. Where are the cupped ear celebrations, the G Nev running to an away end or Adebayour knee slide. The fact we even have fans complaining about these younger guys having fun when they score, who is watching football and not wanting to see emotion?

Haha, beautiful!

Next week, Mason Mount will pose with a lemon to the text ‘Made of Glass’.

Then: The five CB’s posing in gestapo uniforms to ‘Disorder’, and Amorim feigning an epileptic seizure to the tune of ‘He’s lost control again’.

To come:

Zirkzee with Kinky Afro

Mainoo, Garnacho and Højlund in Bizarre Love Triangle

Luke Shaw with Ben Shaw playing He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother

Patrick Dorgu with picture of red card and Dorgu’s Guilt

Ratcliffe with Money’s Too Tight To Mention

Jadon Sancho with The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get

Jayden Kamason as Mazraoui’s Daughter

Ok, I’ll grab my coat

Pretty sure he is off.

Ratcliffe talked about how INEOS have inherited players like Casemiro, Hojlund, Antony & Sancho.

These are all players Ineos want out and he said these names out publicly on YouTube.

He mentioned we’re still paying for installments for these transfers.

I'm still baffled as to why we paid so much for an unproven youth player, who we then decided to throw in at the deep end and make him our No.9.
Goals are what win you games, so if there is one position that you don't take gambles on, it's the striker.
You pay big money for the best striker you can get.
It's almost as if ETH wanted to get fired.

The previous hierarchy were clueless, so no need to be baffled, they just decided to pay whatever the selling club wants.

The issue is there no no "best" striker in the market at the moment that will come to us.

Which Rasmus probably wouldn’t have either were he not a huge fan of the club.

You forgot Onana.

"We're buying Antony, we're buying Casemiro, we're buying Onana, we're buying Hojlund, we're buying Sancho. These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we've inherited those things and have to sort that out,"

Nottingham Forest 1:0 Man Utd New
The most damning part; Maguire is better striker than him. And i am not even joking.

fecking useless. Maguire showed more as a striker than this guy

Thought he had some good moments, good holdup.

Playing with Garnacho behind him makes it fecking impossible though.

Wasn't great by any means but at least he held the ball, played others in and was somewhat on a presence. Mind he received shite service with punted through balls and poor crosses. We need to move him on or upgrade but not a game to criticise him too much.

Should have started obviously.

He's just not got the movement required.

He has been much better and more involved in his most recent games, less static, not getting involved in those wrestling matches as much.

Still pretty average but a major step up from worst striker in the league form he had been showing.

If Höjlund missed Maguires two chances you guys would have wanted him hanged.
Point is that Harry fecking Maguire has better goal scoring instinct and sense for positioning than our first choice striker. That is fecked up shit.
