Your point that instead of getting only Sancho last summer, we got Sancho AND Varane for nearly the same money this summer is valid and true. I guess there's discrepancy in the exchange rates from last summer and this summer. £108m is €126m. And you said €120 in your original post, that's why I picked it up.

Rashford is going to miss a chunk of the season. Martial and Greenwood scored 11 league goals between them in 53 games (38 starts plus 15 sub appearances) last season. Greenwood is going to be a top player, but none of them are currently prolific in front of goal.
Varane is a positive step, but the addition of a more prolific striker would make us more likely to compete for/win the title (as would upgrading McFred).

Pretty sure Rio was a Liverpool fan as a kid. Ole and O'Shea were also both Liverpool fans growing up. Obviously they all saw the light after joining us.
If players spend most of the best seasons of their career at a successful club, they'll tend to develop into fans of that club. I'm sure Terry is a full Chelsea fan now despite growing up a Utd fan, and there will be plenty of others.
