Is this what it feels like to have a football director.

I feel dizzy with all these quick, reasonably priced world class signings happening

Now sell Pogba to PSG and get a good midfielder with the cash.

Yeah and I just assumed he likes the club because he played for us for so 12 years and didn't think he actually supported United.

I suppose players must love a club they spent so many years at and end up being a supporter of more than one club.

Who would he want to win in a one off cup final between United and West Ham though? Because 22 years as a West Ham fan before leaving must leave strong feelings and he has probably supported them for years since he left in 2000.

I have seen a lot of Rio muppetry tbf but wasn't sure if he was actually a supporter or just a gleeful ex player that loves the club due to playing for so long here.

Especially great if there is money left for trying to get a CDM in
I expect we'll see some balancing of the books before any further signings, Pogba being the biggest for less than people think.

I don't think the effect of Covid on finances is being appreciated here yet, many more deals before the end of the window will look like bargains compared to prices we are used to.

I mean if he's had all this investment and United end up not winning anything and finishing 2nd or 3rd (but maybe a bit closer to 1st), then does Ole keep his job or go? Sounds like fans might want him out in that scenario but the Glazers wouldn't act?
I would imagine so, yeah.

We've signed two world class talents so to lose Pogba isn't such a blow anymore. I'm not sure who is on the market that would walk into our first team though? I think Neves or Saul would probably get in as a DM but who's going to dislodge Bruno, Lingard/VDB?

Our midfield bar Bruno and Pogba is very lore for Top level football. Some good enough to be squad players some not even.

To let that happen would be the definition of two steps forward 1 step back.

If he goes a world class replacement is needed. Hell both a CM and DM are needed.

What will the reaction be if he turns up for Madrid training tomorrow?

Also why can’t he do the medical in Spain? Lukaku did his in LA right?

I can't believe we got Varane for about £40 million all in. Even if he doesn't turn out to be super amazing (touch wood), it's still a very reasonable price.

even if bonuses take it to €50m or something like that, it's a bloody good deal for us. Took full advantage of Varanes contract and Reals finances ... just a great deal all around. Full marks to the club so far this summer, getting Sancho and Varane for a combined ~€125m plus bonuses is fecking awesome.

£35 million for varane. A World Cup, la Liga and champions league winning player

£50 million for Ben white who got twisted around by rashford.

Apparently juve, psg, barca and Munich have hired extra security, they're worried Don Murtaugh may show up.

Alexis had already gone to the dogs well before we signed him, which made his signing all the more bizarre IMO. There's no comparison between the form of Varane the last two seasons and Alexis's form the previous two seasons before Jose made what has to go down in United lore as easily the worst signing in United history.
Alexis was poor for the start of the 2017/18 season before he joined us in January but on the 2016/17 he was on world class form he scored 24 goals and 10 assists. So by any case Varane is coming of a worse patch than Alexis.

We can only hope Varane recovers his form with us.

£34m plus addons OMG someone is wearing a Dick Turpin mask at Utd because that is an absolute bargain of the century
