Ramsey to Juve on a free | Agrees £400k a week deal!

Our midfielders don’t score enough goals, he at least offers that. He’d be a better number 8 for us than Mata as he’d be more up to the task physically, and he’s more gifted than guys like Herrera and Fellaini. I’d take him personally. On a free transfer to bolster our squad, whilst using funds to tackle the more glaring holes, we could do a lot worse.

Given he's a free he'd be on a massive wage and would cause United problems like Sanchez is with the renewals of De Gea & Martial. I'd imagine Ramsey will be looking for a 4 year deal worth a minimum of 250k a week.

He's a very good player but don't see him as a priority so would be buying for the sake of it and we've done enough of that in recent years.

That’s true, I wouldn’t make him a priority, but I’d certainly make him an offer we thought was sensible. If he didn’t want to take it, then that’s fine feck him.

Player who can certainly do well abroad if he can adapt off the pitch.

Looking forward to seeing another Brit in the Bundesliga.

BUT...
I thought that we were complaining about United signing individual players without it being part of an overall plan.

I have no problems with Ramsey. In fact he is a really good player but is it obvious how he would fit into the squad and who he would replace ?

I’d replace Herrera with him to be honest, or even Perreira who looks certain to leave. In an ideal he replaces Fellaini but that isn’t happening now.

Isn't A Ramsey much more of an attacking midfielder than Herrera or Fellaini.

Rumours have it that we are closing in on him. I'm not quite sure what we want him for though. Our squad is in need of an overhaul, especially on the wings and maybe we need a younger center back and a left back, too. Arguably a defensive midfield-strategist a la Alonso. But what we don't need is another Goretzka / Tolisso / Sanches. Unless we are mad enough to sell Thiago to City and believe Ramsey can fill this gap. It somehow seems that our management sees injury-prone box-to-box midfielders as vaulable collectibles.

He is probably going to end up, where Wenger is going to end up. I think that we don't need him, as he just worst to everyone we already have in the midfield.

He literally has the exact same problems with Pogba in a midfield role. Playing them together would be very difficult.

He is way too undisciplined to play any form of CM under Mourinho. Thats a no-go. We already have Pogba for that.
With a new offensive-oriented coach he could be worth a punt though.

I think we will use Bailly in a swap deal, whether it be for Ramsey with Arsenal or Alderweireld with Tottenham.

We do seam to like shopping at Arsenal. I'm sure I read something about Bailly being linked with them.

He wouldnt be on Sanchez money

He is a good player but I can't see where he'll fit in our team. Juventus or Bayern will get him probably. They love signing players for free.

We should not be signing players that don't improve us.
Enough of mediocre players.

With him being a free, £250k a month will be what he'd expect to get considering the sign on bonus.

Honestly I can’t see many clubs willing to pay him that simply because of the unrest it could cause with other players. If we paid him £250k for basically being a squad player what on earth would Pogba or Martial ask for?

I think a few clubs will offer that, his basic wage would be £150-£175k and the rest made up of a signing on bonus over the length of his contract (obviously just speculating).

I'm sure the other players would be told, they all probably had signing on bonus when they signed, and considering they signed for big fees, a player signing for free will have a bigger bonus.

He'd be fantastic in the 'Pogba role' (yes, that's what i'm calling it now). He's a player, who, providing he's played in the advanced 8 role on a regular basis, he'll get you 15-20 goals, in my opinion.

Exactly mate, DECENT, we need better than just decent.
And he'd be competing for a well-stocked position. What we're lacking in midfield is a DM/destroyer to compete with Matic.
He's good enough for a top 4 club, but I think he'd find a good offer abroad.

Not for us I think - he’d be a decent addition for a more settled team/squad, but that’s not us.

Emery wanting to replace him with Benega apparently

We're sorted in midfield. Only thing missing is DM back up/rotation/competition and he isn't that. No thanks.

He’ll be at Juve next season.

But Sanchez is probably on about £350,000 a week.

Judging by reports I won't be too far away, he'll probably earn more than I suggested.
Sanchez is on something like £500k per week. I see Ramsey getting something like €5m as a signing bonus and €8m per year before tax.
