Ramires to leave Chelsea for Chinese side Jiangsu Suning

Weird move at this stage of his career...Would do a good job in many clubs in Europe..
But does he really have anything left to achieve in Europe at this stage of his career? I think he is right to opt for the money now. He could even get 10 solid years of it and be made well into his retirement years

He won everything there's to play for in England plus the Champions League and the Europa League in his five years with Chelsea. He's a Brazilian two months shy of his 29th birthday. This is probably the right time for him to think about saving up some money for the retirement.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out one day that this is money laundering.

Dodgy as feck. That English tax that applies to every team trying to buy from within the PL -- well, there's a related phenomenon. The fecking Chelsea tax. If you want to buy their unwanted players you have to pay bucket-loads.

Plus he can actually start to enjoy the money he'll be earning, while he is still young. Is he married?

Why? Why should they be judged differently? Just because they kick a ball for a living? Rich men collect trophies of a different kind. Hot wives and huge mansions. Why should they be judged on a different standard to you and me? Some are like Assou-Ekotto. It's a job for them. Just because it is our dream, doesn't mean it has to be theirs too.

To me, its being a hypocrite to criticize them

Who the feck talked about judging them  ? Just said that we (the footballers themselves) take a job into consideration, money is a criteria among others when for the more "normal" humans, money is the most important thing.

Is it true. Evergrande sold their best player to their rival to make them stronger in order to give China a stronger #1 club?

25 mil.pounds? I wouldnt be surprised one day to hear about his as not so much clean transfer, until then it is great money.

Weren't Bayern in for him too?

With Chelsea reportedly bringing in both Pato and Miazaga (who?!) who are both Kia Jorcockrabin (sp?) clients, just like Ramires, there's almost certainly something fishy going on here. But, just like with every ridiculous pie Mendes has his hands all over, I'm sure it'll never properly surface though.

Edit: As for Ramires, he is 29, has won everything there is to win at Chelsea, and is being paid boatloads of money to semi-retire. I give him all my blessings, and hope he lives it up over there!

Thank him for all he has done for Chelsea. You always had the feeling with him that he could do better. Anyway he will be remembered for many game changing moments, the most obvious one is this one, when he scored a ridiculous goal against Barca with 10-man-Chelsea losing to Barca.

He's already won enough, and he'll have a hard time living up to that goal against Barcelona and everything he did in the run in of that season. Nows a decent time to get loaded as feck for the rest of his life.

And it's not as if people are going to be ranking him amongst the all time greats, so he needs to make a stronger case for himself. He'll go down as a decent to good player.

Apparently so. Bizarre statement from Evergrande after selling him I thought. This is China though, bizarre is the norm.

to replace old trafford found muller.

I have no idea. Just remember it being reported.

Yep, reports about you being interested. Doubt there is any truth to them but hey, you were in for Luiz as well last year too.

Which might have been true, since we actually signed a CD that summer and it might have been just the outrageous bid by PSG which ended the interest.
Ramires seems like random name throwing, no reports whatsoever over here

It's not that crazy an idea, Real tried to get him a couple of times in the last few years.

Not saying he's not good enough, but with Lahm, Alonso, Martinez, Rode, Alaba and Kimmich and Thiago all more or less available for his position, it just doesn't make any sense. There are more pressing issues even for us. He wouldn't be an improvement of any kind and just another squad player without a real chance for the starting 11.

Just saw him playing in AFC champions league. Saw only the last 10 mins but he had at least 4-5 dives. Lost the game 2-1 too.
