So his comments reflect that and he takes great pride in helping develop the footballing side of the club. He also has a big advantage over the previous managers due to him working as both a Sporting director and head coach.

Great to read the Pogba comments. It's what most of us want to hear. We shouldn't be killing ourselves trying to persuade anyone to stay that doesn't want to. That attitude will, I assume, mitigate the possibility of us throwing stupid money at new contracts. I also loved his assertion that there should be no more remote treatment of injured players, they should be at the club. This warm weather craic in the middle of the season is bullshit. Away off for a specific procedure, grand, otherwise stay home, be available for a chat, check-ins, whatever.

That's my point. As fans, we are tactically hindsight 20/20. There are no surefire answers or solutions.

For every Klopp hiring decision, there are more LVGs and Jose's out there.

We are all Monday morning quarterbacks here but some seem to think things/decisions are much more obvious and easy when at the helm. When buying a player or hiring a manager is a crap-shoot -- then there are financial, contractual, manpower limitations or considerations, which will then limit your pool or make choices riskier.

Things are never that obvious and easy. Blaming others is the easiest decision one can make. Making the choices or priorities at work or in life is the toughest.

I've read how some lower league players have found it tough dealing with injuries when they are going into the training ground everyday as it's boring, repetitive and also can have them feeling pretty low. It's not the case for everybody but I think there are valid merits for players with long term injuries going away to recover.

It's pretty common at top clubs, Haaland was recently in Spain recovering from his injury. I also recall Sancho spending some time in Dubai when he was injured for Dortmund at the back end of last season and he came back in great form.

It's common in some clubs, not in all top clubs. I remember Neymar doing it every year going to Brasil for the festival, sorry I mean to recover.
