There is an online campaign on facebook to get RATMs ¨Killing in the Name of¨to Number one this Christmas instead of the X Factor.

Personally im all for that, tired of that X Factor getting to number one every year by default almost.

So sign up Caftards and join Rage Against The Machine For Christmas No.1, anything to wipe the grin off Cowells face.

Sounds great, however I already have their self tiltled first album(legally purchased). Somebody should select a more obscure(but still excellent) track.

Time for Lou Bega feat. The Crazy Frog

The petition to get Ireland a replay on Facebook had 6 people joining a second at one stage.

Edit: Maybe Olly didn't want that quoted since he deleted it.

I thought I posted it in the wrong thread so I deleted my post, then I realised it actually was the right thread :wenger:

Was the group made today BTW?

Who honestly cares what the Christmas Number 1 is? I'd rather give the £3 or whatever it would be to charity than to help some facebook campaign.

A lot of people. A lot of annoying people who care about x factor and suchlike.

Giving money to charity would be a better idea yes, but knowing that people will be disappointed that their x factor winner has been beaten to number one by an unknown band (to them, at least) is a worthwhile feeling.

I joind that group about an hour ago and there was just over 85,000, at the minute it is over 91,000.

They would probably need that group to hit 200k to be in with a chance of shifting 130,000 copies or so. Remember dont buy until after December 13th or it wont go towards the christmas number one count.

I will participate to annoy cowell and his minge hair cut.

I don't like RATM, and I've never watched X Factor. Plus I'm not on Facebook. In other words I hope you all die for Christmas.

I joined at 91k maybe and or so ago it's already gone passed 101k.

I am all for this, shame it didnt work last year with Hallelujah.

We will probably find out in the next few weeks that Cowell owns the rights to the RATM back catalogue and orchestrated the whole thing.

Yep, Cowell's gonna be gutted as he counts his hundreds of millions while you all sit there with a shit three quid single for christmas.

Rage are amazing, probably my second favourite band after Led Zeppelin. I feel like a gutted fish that I've never seen them live.

I think RATM are pretty gash to be honest. Well, gash is harsh. They're OK although they do seem to be the credible choice of band amongst students at the moment.

I am completely and utterly up for this. It would be an immense feat if we pulled it off but I seriously can't see it happening. I'm in though

Nail on the head

Supporting Journey's don't stop believing is better IMHO.
