It’s not a case of thinking we’re predestined for finishing in the top four. But those that are wanting to put out weaker teams in the FA Cup quarters, for fear of missing of top, are mental.
Top four race will go down to the last couple of weeks. There won’t be more than 6 points in it. Newcastle and spurs will both drop a hell of a lot of points before the end of the season.

I just don't think there will be 2 others who will be more consistent then us in the last 3rd of the season. Good chance Newcastle beats us, but even still I'd be confident on 3rd. They'd go above us on goal difference and then I think they'd drop in other games. Spurs are behind us but have played 2 games more. Liverpool is too far behind us. I'm just not too worried ultimately, though we can't afford slip ups like the Southampton draw.

This is a weird view and will never not be. I want us to win the lot, you can’t do that without a bit of risk and strain. The horrible modern obsession with the top 4 trophy over actual trophies baffles me. Qualifying for the CL is important, but winning the EL and FA Cup and then an unfortunate slip into 5th for example? Go on then.

It's a daft question that should be asked after we win it, because anything can happen in a final. And I'm sure ETH will see the EL as a consolation prize because it's never a good thing to lose so much form in the league that we drop out of top 4. He's trying to cultivate a winning mentality in order to win the title.

They were meant to be playing Fulham but they're in the FA Cup so it was postponed.
I like it because it means they go into the international break on the back of two defeats and then their first game back is away to City.
