Metal produces guitarists who can pick very fast and like pinch harmonics.

Being able to play fast doesnt make you a "great" guitarist in any way, shape or form.

stunt guitarts. Mostly utter wank.

I recently found some fun live stuff from Howe Gelb. Love his guitar playing, obviously a lot of people will be put of with the country vibe but it has a pretty cool break down into wierd guitar playing with distortion and noise. Love the way he get's it back to the start. Howe Gelb is cool as feck.
