They are starting to release some of the older games at a reduced price now, so it's a perfect time to pick up some of them that you might have missed. They are going for 17.99 on play.com

Heavenly Sword Platinum
Motorstorm Platinum
Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction Platinum
Resistance: Fall of Man Platinum
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Platinum

Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted are no-brainers if you have never played them before.
 
I may pick up R&C, I have played the Demo (Which I really enjoyed) but I have never got around to actually buying it, which is strange.

The packaging is fecking awful though. Makes the London 2012 Olympics Logo look like a Da Vinci Masterpiece.

yeah im definitely gonna get them, they are both getting trophy support soon arent they? if so then il wait for that before purchasing

Will be picking up Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Was going to buy it at a higher price anyway.

Anyway, check out my new thread in the general to see why my mind is elsewhere at the moment. I'll no doubt be bugging Weaste via email rather than PM this week, because I need to stay away from here until I've got plenty done.

I preordered the new 80GB models hitting British shores late August, I will not be a happy man if I get your black rubber trim :mad:

Yes, its very much the sex appeal of the PS3 for me - My Samsung HDTV is black with silver linings around it so I thought my PS3 would look perfect and pretty badass next to it.

In all honesty the thing that bothers me the most is no BC but im just going to accept that its never going to happen so I might as well forget it and im happy that Sony are 'sort of' giving us the same entitlements as the Americans and Japanese get (i.e. an 80GB console)
 
Fair enough, although I really don't understand all this BC nonsense. You buy a PS3 to play PS3 games, not PS2 or PS1 games. I've played one PS2 game on my PS3 and looking back the only PS1 games I played on ym PS2 were FF7 and FF8. (And Kurushi until my brother snapped the fecking disc, a rare game that aswell:mad:)

Ive got God of War 2, Final Fantasy 12 and Okami to name a few which are untouched because my PS2 broke down, now quite frankly I dont want to buy another PS2 and usually id expect a next-gen console to have some form of BC (I mean christ, even the Wii has BC ffs!)

So yes, BC is a very big deal for me :)
 
I thought you despised FFXII? And it does have BC, just not with PS2 games.

Anyway, once you recieve your shiny, black, silver chrome PS3 you will forget all about those games:D
