Protest at Old Trafford

It's effectiveness is also debatable, as I don't think the Glazers will sell regardless nor is there anyone realistic who can afford us unless we go down the Saudi route which is even worse.

You don't know that for a fact though. There are lots of unkown billionaires. Who knows who might be interested.

And we know that pretty much none of them would be as bad as the Glazers.

They’ve let the air down on the tyres. The players aren’t even in the coach, or anywhere near it. Protests are supposed to be an inconvenience. Why do you think strikes happen when people aren’t happy with working conditions?

Please relax
Um didn't the tweet say that's the actual official bus? What about the people in that bus? Bet they feel safe at being surrounded by a group of protesters who puncture the tires of the bus, forcing them to get out of the bus? What do you think happens when you have a mob with thousands of people and all of a sudden a few people step out of this bus that are hated by the crowd (such as Liverpool players)? They fear for their safety at that point. There's being an inconvenience and protesting peacefully. Stopping the Liverpool team bus on a random side street, puncturing the tires is just so wrong on so many levels.

The funny thing is if Liverpool didn't make it they could hardly dock us points?

They have 2 hours though.
They'd give them the victory if it was down to our fans stopping them from arriving.

The surprising thing is that there wasn't a police escort with their coach, which makes me inclined to think it was a decoy. If it is the actual coach, then it was beyond daft not to have an escort.

I dont get it. Is there a possibility that they can dock points off of us for this? What if that makes us finish outside top 4? Is that a possibility?

Why would none of them be as bad? I'd bet they're all roughly similar. In it to just make money for themselves and not give much of a feck. The only big club owners who genuinely go to make the club great from a footballing perspective tend to have a political agenda, like with City or Chelsea.

There were reports that police were at the Liverpool hotel to do an escort.

How can they hold United responsible for what people that happen to support the club do when they’re not on club property? That would never fly if there was any kind of legal challenge.

What? The players aren’t on the bus and the tyres quite clearly aren’t punctured.

Did you see thousands of people surrounding the bus? What are you on about? There was about 10 people dotted around in the photo.

We can get the second best option, though - that the Glazers finally wake up and realize that draining the club of resources will have consequences. With continued protests, they might eventually get their act together and make some firm promises about the running of the club.

Maybe but that's really their fault for not being more prepared tbh.

It's in the move anyway but yeah might be a decoy. Would be stupid to be so obvious about how they are getting there.

Going after the players is stupid and uncalled for, just protest peacefully in front of the grounds jeez.
Oh yeah if only someone had thought of that countless times over the past 16 fecking years

How can they prove that our fans did it? Like what if Liverpool fans are wearing United shirts and trying to get the match forfeited

Who's targeted anything at players?
That tweet said it was the official Liverpool team bus that was blocked off on a side street and the tires were deflated. Imagine being a rival player and a large group of the rival fans stops your bus on a side street and deflates the tires? It's not good.

Luckily it seems like we misunderstood that tweet as the bus seems like it drove off so clearly the tires weren't deflated. But still.

Really scary this

I always say this and it will never work but how difficult would it be for ST holders to not renew and members to not buy tickets. The only real damage to The Glazers will be empty seats.
I read that there are more than 100k waiting list, ready to pounce available slot.

United squad is already at OT.

Edit: somebody already posted this..
So it’s Liverpool that might not be able to make it? Looks like we should be getting 3 points and a 3-0 if they fail to show up.

that does absolutely nothing
And going after persons that have nothing to do with your quarrel accomplishes what, except making everyone look like hooligans? Did we not already see the negative outcome from protesting in a certain manner or does someone else have to get hurt?

I understand the need for action, but these sort of things just seem sad. There are better ways...

Really? It's on Liverpool for not being prepared to handle a mob of Man United supporters that are intent to stop the game from happening? Come on.. if the game doesn't happen, we'd be lucky for it to only be 3 points to Liverpool and no deductions on our part.

Trying to stop the Liverpool team from getting to the ground is targeting the team.
1. It's the match itself which is being targeted.
2. Who the feck cares?

If the game doesn’t go ahead tonight, this thread is going to be more toxic than the Israel/Palestine one.
